Hello and welcome to the Spirit Rooms Podcast,
In the Flow with Lori Albert,
Where we talk about spirituality,
Manifestation,
And how to create and live our best lives.
Welcome in.
And hello and welcome in.
So honestly,
These last few weeks have been kind of tough.
And you know,
I gotta be honest.
I am pretty sick of feeling like the other shoe is about to drop.
Are you guys feeling that way?
Have you been feeling overwhelmed and tired and sick and maybe a little frustrated?
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's the energy.
And that's what is bringing us all down.
Don't you think?
Gosh,
It's just so frustrating.
You know,
I had about a week of feeling pretty bad actually,
Physically,
Due to stuff that's going on with me and dehydration and all that stuff,
Right?
But you know what?
I'm here to say today,
I am done.
How about you?
Are you with me?
So here's the question.
The question is then,
How do we get ourselves out of feeling this way and into a happy place when we are just kind of done with all of the crap that there is out there?
How do we do that?
Well,
Of course,
You know what I'm going to say.
Gratitude,
Gratitude,
Gratitude,
And more gratitude.
So I thought today would be a great day to just have an explosion of gratitude.
So I'm going to lead you through this because I think you're going to be a little surprised.
And when you start to consider the areas of your life where you can find the gratitude,
Okay,
Are you ready?
Okay.
So the first area to find deep,
Abundant gratitude is family.
Okay.
So let's think about this.
First of all,
Let's think about those family members in our lives that we are grateful for.
Some of them,
You know,
Every family is different and I get that.
But there's got to be one person.
There has to be at least one that you are grateful for.
Okay.
Your maybe your significant other or your mothers or fathers,
Sisters,
Brothers,
Grandparents,
Aunts,
Uncles,
Cousins,
Anybody that is family to you.
Who are you close to in your life?
Could be children.
You know,
It doesn't have to just be mothers and significant others.
It could be your children too.
So yes,
We are grateful for at least some of these people,
Right?
But let's take that a little bit further when we think of the people in our lives.
Okay.
What about your friends or acquaintances?
So of this group of people,
Can you think of who you are grateful for in your life?
Okay.
It could be old friends,
New friends.
For those you see on an ongoing basis,
You know,
Like maybe I know you're going to think I'm crazy,
But seriously,
Your hairdresser,
Your gardener,
Your garbage man,
The grocery store clerk,
Right?
Now,
These are people that you see all the time.
And that,
You know,
You may not know them,
But you know them,
You know,
You know their energy,
Right?
And then if you take that even further,
What about like police or firemen?
Or fire people,
I guess I should say.
Think about that.
All the people that help you when maybe you don't even think about it.
Right?
Very interesting concept to think about,
Right?
And then,
Yes,
I'm going to take that even further.
Are there people in your life that you are grateful for that you actually don't know?
Like honestly,
I am very thankful for Queen Elizabeth II.
Yeah,
I am.
You know,
I'm thankful for her life,
Blah,
Blah,
Blah.
Okay.
So I'm grateful for her,
Right?
So these are the type of people I'm talking about.
So like maybe St.
Teresa or Jesus or the Dalai Lama.
Or I mean,
It could be anybody that inspires you.
An author.
Don Miguel Ruiz.
Paulo Coelho.
Oh my gosh.
And some amazing authors,
Right?
I mean,
I could go on and on about that.
Wayne Dyer,
Right?
I am so,
Oh my God,
That's such a big one for me.
I am so thankful for Wayne Dyer,
Right?
And I didn't know him,
But I'm so grateful for him and his teachings,
Right?
So that's kind of an interesting thing,
Right?
So now let's go even further.
Okay,
Let's think about our,
This is a tricky word,
But our careers.
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay,
So this is tricky only because there are some of us that are just not happy in our either career or job.
Okay.
But see,
This is where going deep in gratitude is really good for us.
Okay.
Here's the thing.
We could feel like we are stuck in a rut or hate our jobs or whatever.
But as I always say,
There is always,
Always,
Always something to be grateful for.
So I know,
And you're probably,
Some of you are out there thinking,
I don't even believe she's saying this because that's crazy.
But let's think about this for a minute.
Let's go a little bit deep,
Right?
So let's say you simply just hate your job.
Okay.
So let's think a thing or two about the job that might actually not be so bad.
Okay.
Maybe there's one person at your job that is actually a really good person or a good friend of yours.
Okay.
Or let's consider like maybe one thing that is kind of positive,
You know,
About the job,
Like maybe the proximity to and from your house,
You know,
Or maybe there's like a perk that you get.
Maybe,
Maybe you get lunch once a week.
I don't know.
Do you know what I'm saying?
So maybe there are,
Maybe you just got a raise.
Maybe you're making more than you know you should be making.
Right?
My advice is this,
Find that one thing because it's always going to be there.
One thing will be there.
I promise you that it will change your attitude and make your attitude that much more beautiful and easy to be with.
Right?
So when you go to your job that you absolutely can't stand and you focus on maybe that one thing that's really positive,
It's going to help.
That's going to put you in a little bit better of a head space.
Right?
Okay.
So now that we've tackled that,
Let's look now at our lives aside from work and aside from family and friends and that sort of thing.
Right?
Like what is it that you love to do or what do you like to do?
What is it that you love about your life?
Do you like to go for walks or do you like to swim or what about dogs or cats or your pets,
Hamsters?
Are you grateful for any of them or any other thing in your life?
But here's one thing.
If you love,
You can love your car or your bicycle.
You can love wine.
You know,
You can be grateful for anything in your life.
You can love your bed.
Do you love your bed?
I love my bed.
Love my bed.
Right?
So start thinking about all this.
What do you like?
Do you like to read?
Are you grateful for books or for the authors?
You know,
Or what about music?
Is there one specific song that you are so grateful for that you've heard throughout your life?
This is pretty interesting and it's pretty deep.
I mean it's so easy to say,
I'm grateful for my love.
I'm grateful for my mother.
I'm grateful for those things.
You know,
It's great to do that.
It's easy to do that.
But you know what?
It's important to go deep sometimes too.
And this can help you in so many ways.
Right?
So then,
What about the physical things in your life that you might be grateful for?
Okay?
Like your house.
Are you grateful for your house or your apartment?
Are you grateful that it's completely yours and you don't have a mortgage?
Or are you grateful that you don't have a mortgage and you rent?
I mean it could be anything.
You know?
Are you grateful for your clothes?
Maybe that one outfit that you just feel so good when you wear it.
Right?
You can be totally grateful for that.
Okay?
Now these are like,
Like I'm saying,
The physical things.
You know?
Or what about a musical instrument?
Or your computer?
Because your computer might connect you to lots of people in the world.
Or that set of headphones that you have.
You know?
Are you grateful for this?
What are you grateful for that is tangible?
You know?
What about classes that maybe you're enrolled in?
Are you grateful to be learning new things for yourself?
Or that you could even be grateful that you've had the opportunity to take a class.
You know?
And what about art?
Are you grateful that you have the ability to create new things?
Arts and crafts?
Whether you're an artist or if you just like doing arts and crafts and those types of things.
Right?
Yeah.
So.
All of these things that we've just talked about.
This is the explosion of gratitude that I was talking about.
These are the amazing things about our lives to consider.
Because when you think about it,
There really is so,
So much to be grateful for.
There really,
Really is.
So.
Now that we have,
Now that we've discussed and come up with several things,
Hopefully for you,
Several things that we feel like and we know we can be grateful for,
You can start to feel it in your heart,
Can't you?
So let's meditate on gratitude and the fact that when we consider the absolutely incredible things that are in our lives,
Our vibration raises and we become happier.
You know?
And I gotta be honest,
Even just,
I mean,
I'm never really in a horrible mood,
But even just talking this whole podcast through has put me in a way better frame of mind and a better mindset.
And I hope it does that for you too.
Okay,
So let's get together and let's meditate.
Okay?
So let's close our eyes.
And I want you to place your attention on your heart chakra and maybe place your hands over your heart to sort of add to the feeling of gratitude because you,
Hopefully you're feeling it in your heart.
So let's take a nice deep breath in and release it.
Beautiful.
So as we sit in the stillness,
We know that we can consider all the things that we are grateful for and you can do that as we are meditating,
Sitting in the stillness or you can repeat after me.
Today I am grateful for my life,
The sun,
The moon,
The stars,
And all the beautiful things that I'm so lucky to have.
And we thank you spirit for shining your light over us always.
So now repeat your own mantra.
I am grateful for,
Or you can just repeat to yourself,
I am grateful.
I am grateful.
I am grateful.
I am grateful.
I am grateful for all the blessings that spirit has bestowed on me throughout my life.
We thank you spirit for allowing us the time to consider these amazing things and focus on the beauty and the joys in our lives.
Namaste.
