Imagine a world where we fully accept one another at face value. Now take that same world and imagine a life where we accept ourselves for whoever we are or choose to be! Ahhh... the freedom and joy we can gain from this!

Namaste and welcome to In The Flow with Lori Albert.

Hello there.

I hope everybody's having a great day so far.

So today I wanted to talk about Spirit.

Really,

Really impressed upon me to talk about acceptance and what that means and how we can obtain a freedom,

A freedom,

A special type of freedom when we accept others as they are.

But not even just that,

Accepting ourselves the way that we are.

I mean,

How often do we make ourselves wrong about a choice we've made or something that we do or you know,

Whatever it is.

I mean,

How often do we make ourselves wrong?

All the time,

Do we not?

So imagine what your life could be like if we first accepted others.

Imagine like all of the relationships that we have that we could create a freedom around if we just accepted others as they are.

Face value,

Right?

But then even,

And this is what I love about this whole conversation,

Imagine that,

Imagine accepting yourself.

I think it starts with accepting ourselves.

I mean,

That's what all of the spiritual sages and that's what a lot of the people say,

You know,

Accept yourself first.

And I love that because that's the most important thing because guess what?

You are perfect just the way you are.

Has anybody ever told you that?

Have our parents told us that?

Who has told us that ever?

Has anybody ever said to you,

You are perfect just the way you are?

You are.

And almost it feels like kind of uncomfortable.

It kind of almost feels uncomfortable to talk about,

But you are,

You're perfect just the way you are.

So I want us today to,

We're going to meditate on accepting our own perfection because if we can't meditate on that,

What else can we meditate on?

What else can we concentrate on for even just a short period of time if we can't concentrate and meditate on our own perfection?

There's such a freedom around that,

Isn't there?

Can you imagine if we didn't have to worry about,

Imagine if we didn't have to worry about being perfect for all of our people in our lives,

Our friends,

Our family,

Our,

You know,

Because how often do we question ourselves about being perfect?

The perfect individual,

The perfect daughter,

The perfect mother,

The perfect spouse.

How often do we question ourselves about that?

And if we took all of that questioning away,

How would you feel?

I mean,

It's amazing.

It's amazing the freedom that can come with that.

I just love this conversation.

Like,

Can you tell?

Because it's,

It's,

It takes,

It lifts the weight.

It lifts the weight off of us.

And it's funny because,

You know,

I'm thinking of all of us individually,

But then I think of if we took ourselves out of the equation and we just automatically accepted ourselves,

Imagine what our family and friends,

How they would treat us differently.

I don't know.

I just,

I think that that's a really interesting kind of way to think about things.

Right?

So,

So anyway,

Okay,

So we are going to meditate on acceptance today.

Right?

Okay,

So let's get ourselves comfortable.

There's such a,

And I know I just said this,

But there's such a freedom around that.

I feel,

You know,

Even just,

I just feel so free even in the thought process of this.

I just love that.

So,

Okay,

So let's get ourselves comfortable.

If you want to bring your blanket or your pillow,

However you feel comfortable.

And let's also,

Oh,

I'm being directed by my spirit guides.

I don't usually talk about hand Mujha's,

But today I'd like us to try something simple.

This is a simple one.

There's all sorts.

There's thousands of hand Mujha's that you can do when you're meditating,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah.

But let's try this today.

You know,

This is like the stereotypical way to meditate,

Right?

With your,

Your fingers.

But in my,

And they mean all sorts of different things and they mean different things to different cultures and different people and that sort of thing.

But for me,

When I do this,

My thumb represents the universe and my index finger represents me.

Right?

And so when I connect the two,

It becomes,

It becomes,

I am connecting myself with the universe.

Right?

So let's try this today.

Why not?

Right?

I try to keep it simple because I know we're all just trying to,

To learn how to meditate properly and blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Whatever.

But let's try this today.

Okay.

So the hand Mujha are thumb and index finger,

The tips.

Okay.

Put it on your lap.

Yes.

And let's close our eyes.

Let's take a nice deep breath in and release it.

Gorgeous.

Gorgeous.

Gorgeous.

Start to relax ourselves,

Relax our bodies.

Just really do a body scan starting at the top of your head.

Just kind of scan your body and relax all your muscles all throughout your body.

Make sure that the core of your body and your abdomen is relaxed.

Gorgeous.

Perfect.

So what are we doing?

We're really grateful for today.

What are you grateful for?

You're grateful that you woke up.

You're grateful for your family,

Your health,

Your family's health.

I'm so grateful for this community because there is acceptance in this community,

Acceptance and love.

Grateful for every day.

Every day I get to love myself just that much more.

So our mantra for today,

I accept everything and everyone just as they are.

And as we say this to ourselves throughout this meditation and the rest of the day,

We include ourselves.

I accept everyone and everything just as they are.

Every person,

Every situation.

I accept everyone and everything just as they are.

Now let's continue to say that to ourselves.

I will keep the time.

If you get lost in the mantra,

That's absolutely okay.

Just come back and focus on your breath.

I accept everyone and everything just as they are.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

I accept everyone and everything just as it is.

I accept everyone and everything just as it is.

I accept everyone and everything just as it is.

I accept everyone and everything just as it is.

I accept everyone and everything just as it is.

I accept everyone and everything just as it is.

I accept everyone and everything just as it is.

I accept everyone and everything just as it is.

I accept everyone and everything just as it is.

I accept everyone and everything just as it is.

Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.

Let's take a nice deep breath in through our nose and release it.

Perfect.

You can open your eyes whenever you feel comfortable.

I feel hopeful and I feel lighter.

How about you guys?

Thank you so much for joining.

I appreciate every single one of you and I hope you take this lightness with you the rest of the day.

So until next time from my heart to yours,

Namaste.
