This is the Hatsure-ho meditation technique.

The Hatsure-ho meditation technique consists of seven elements.

They are as follows.

Seiza,

The sitting position.

Mokunen,

The silent intention.

Kenyoku,

The dry bathing.

Joshin Kokyuho,

The breathing method.

Gassho,

The prayer hands.

Seishin Toits,

The mind concentration.

And Mokunen again,

The silent intention.

We will now begin.

Seiza,

Traditional sitting position with legs folded under the body.

Sit on them in an upright position.

Alternatively,

You may use Agura,

The sitting position of crossed legs.

Or sit straight up in a chair.

Mokunen,

State a silent intention.

I am beginning Hatsure-ho.

Kenyoku,

The dry bathing technique to purify the body.

Sweep your right hand from your upper left shoulder diagonally down across your torso to your right hip.

Extend your right arm,

Palm facing up and parallel to the floor.

Sweep your left hand down your arm from shoulder to open palm.

Joshin Kokyu-ho,

The breathing method to center the body and mind.

With your hands placed in your lap,

Palms open and facing up.

Breathe in through your nose and all the way down to the Hara.

Exhale out through your whole being.

Gassho hands coming together for meditation and sensing energy.

Focus on your middle fingers,

Lightly touching,

Palms pressed gently together.

Breathe in and out gently.

Notice the energy building in your middle fingers.

Feel the concentration of Reiki building there.

Resting with your hands in this gentle prayer position,

Feel the concentration of Reiki building in your middle fingers.

Seishen Toits,

The mind concentration method.

Seishen meaning spirit,

Mind,

Soul,

Intention.

Toits meaning to unite or make one.

This technique takes the breath on a specific route through the body.

With hands placed in Gassho position,

On the in-breath,

Notice the Reiki concentrated in your hands.

As you exhale,

Become aware of the Reiki moving to your Hara.

Inhale again and move the Reiki back up to the hands.

Exhale and move the Reiki to your Hara.

Do not think about the Reiki traveling down from the hands,

Through the arms and into the stomach.

Rather,

Sense it automatically moving between these two places.

Inhale and move the Reiki up into the hands.

Exhale and move the Reiki to your Hara.

This was great. I'd love to do this more in depth. I've done Transcendental Meditation, but have struggled with it and this has been a great help.
