Welcome to this beautiful new morning,

This fresh new dawn on a winter's day.

Take a few moments to make sure that you are nice and warm and comfortable for this meditation.

If you are sitting upright,

Please make sure that both feet are flat on the ground.

Gently close your eyes,

Place your hands on your belly and take a few full breaths in and out in your own time,

Allowing your hands to feel the rise and fall of your belly.

As you stand before this gorgeous new dawn,

Welcoming in the beautiful freshness in the air.

Imagining the magical layer of cool white frost that blankets the earth and all that has slept beneath the stars last night.

The tinges of pink and orange and blue that are slowly rising in readiness to paint the morning sky.

The chorus of the birds,

Waking in their nests high up in the trees,

Ready to start their day.

The tiny crystals of ice glistening as they begin to thaw with the gradual rise of the morning sun,

Creating rainbow colored droplets hanging from the leaves in the trees and everything that has been touched by the morning frost.

.

Take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through your nose.

Feel the cool air into your body and gently kiss your lungs.

Hold at the top just for a moment and exhale out of your mouth.

Take another long,

Slow breath in and feel the air swirling deep down into your belly.

Hold briefly,

Then ever so slowly breathe out,

Picturing the tiny white clouds of mist that are formed as your warm breath meets the cool morning air.

Take another long,

Deep breath in,

Hold for a moment,

Then slowly breathe this out.

Winter is a time of deep healing and letting go,

A time to nourish our body and our soul,

A season of rejuvenation.

Allow yourself some space to nurture your inner harmony by letting go of anything that you may be holding onto that is no longer serving you.

Please repeat the following words gently in your mind.

Today I choose to let go of anything that no longer serves me.

I let go of any old feelings or beliefs that I may not be smart enough or not good enough in any way.

I let go of any thoughts that my body or my face or the style of my clothes or hair are not attractive enough.

I let go of any thoughts of being too tall or short or that I am too thin or large.

I let go of any thoughts or feelings that I am not enough.

Today I let go.

I encourage you to use the next few moments to let go of anything else that no longer serves you.

Allow these thoughts to leave your body as you exhale.

Imagine them becoming dainty warm white clouds momentarily drifting before your eyes as you breathe out.

Please take your longest deepest breath for the day.

Let those thoughts briefly swirl around in your belly for one last time.

And sigh those thoughts out as tiny droplets of mist into the cold morning air.

Watch them softly float before you until they disappear,

Until they are gone.

Let go of any thoughts or feelings that may not be appropriate for you.

Let go of any thoughts or feelings that may not be appropriate for you.

Please repeat the following words gently in your mind.

I have the confidence that I need to live my best life.

I am beautiful inside and out.

I am worthy.

All that I am is all that I need.

I am loved.

All that I need is already within me.

I am enough.

I am enough.

May the seeds that I have just planted continue to flourish and blossom.

Allow your mind to relax and be at peace.

As the sunlight hours become fleeting and the temperatures drop low,

Allow yourself the time to embrace all of the simple pleasures and the possibilities that come with this restorative season.

This time of slowing down.

This precious time to spend in the sanctuary of your home,

Your own private retreat.

This time of warming your toes by the fire,

Gazing at the soft orange glow as it warms your body and calms your mind.

This time of hearty,

Slow-cooked,

Nutritious meals,

Sunday roasts.

Hot chocolate,

Marshmallows,

Steamy cappuccino,

Chai latte or herbal tea.

Long hot baths.

This time of warm,

Fluffy slippers,

Beanies,

Gloves and soft woolly scarves.

Rainy days and nights to reconnect with your creativity.

Time to read,

Write,

Paint,

Draw,

Sing,

Dance,

Learn something new or do whatever it is that your heart desires.

Resting your body,

Resting your mind.

Cozy nights,

Snuggled under the covers of your warm,

Comfy bed.

Drifting off to sleep to the soothing sounds of the rain,

Gently falling onto your roof.

This time of dreamy,

Winter morning sleep-ins.

Now take three fuller,

Deeper breaths in and out.

How would you like this day to be?

Try to think of at least one thing that you can do today to put a smile on your face and some happiness into your heart.

Now slowly start to bring your attention back into the room.

Are you going to pay attention to the sounds directly around you?

What can you hear?

What do you notice?

How do you feel?

Gently start to wiggle your fingers.

Now let your toes join in,

Gently wiggling both your fingers and your toes.

Slowly and gently flutter your eyes open when you feel ready.

Enjoy this beautiful day.

You've got this.

Namaste.
