Welcome to this meditation designed for deep relaxation that will help you fall asleep faster and deeper.

Start by coming into a comfortable position on your bed,

Lying on your back with your head on a comfortable pillow.

Once you have let your body get nice and comfortable,

Allow your eyes to gently close and take a moment to become present.

Releasing any thoughts about what has already transpired throughout the day or what needs to happen tomorrow.

Together,

We will take in three deep breaths,

Cleansing the body of any stress,

Anxiety or negative thoughts.

One.

Inhale deeply,

Feeling the expansion of your rib cage.

And hold at the top of your breath,

Visualizing all the areas of your body that are holding any tension.

Then exhale all of that tension out of your body as your rib cage contracts.

Two.

Taking in another deep inhale,

Feeling the expansion of your rib cage once again.

And holding at the top of your breath,

Visualizing any remaining areas of tension in your body.

Then exhale all of that tension out as your rib cage contracts.

Three.

Taking one last deep breath before returning to a natural rhythm,

Feeling the expansion of your rib cage and holding at the top of your breath.

Visualizing any final remaining areas of tension in your body.

Then exhale all of that tension as your rib cage contracts.

Now that you are relaxed and the tension has left your body,

Bring your breath back to its natural rhythm.

If any thoughts should arise,

Simply observe them and let them pass by.

Notice that when you don't attach yourself to any thoughts,

They don't stay very long.

And stressful.

Know that it is over now and you can finally get some rest.

You may set an intention for tonight's sleep.

Is there something you wish for your dreams to help you with tonight?

Ask them to assist you in your daily waking life.

You may also ask that you remember those lessons clearly.

Your body is now falling into a deeper state of relaxation and transitioning into sleep and is peaceful and restorative.
