Hello,

And welcome to this meditation for moving through grief with love and respect.

My name is Lara and I'll be guiding us today.

Grief is an important and undeniable part of everyone's life,

So we're going to honor it by experiencing the feelings and emotions that come along with grief in order to release it.

If you haven't already,

Go ahead and find a comfortable position,

Either sitting upright with a straight spine,

Or lying down on your back if that feels more loving and supportive to you right now.

Once you're there,

Allow your eyes to gently close,

And go ahead and place your hands with palms facing down somewhere on the body.

This will help you to feel grounded and supported.

Let's take three deep inhales and slow exhales together,

So empty any air out,

And big slow breath in,

Really filling the belly with air,

And then slowly exhale.

Again,

Long deep inhale,

Imagining oxygen moving into every inch and cell of the body,

And let it out,

Maybe with a sigh.

Last one,

Deep breath in,

And exhale.

Beautiful.

You can let your breath fall back into its natural rhythm.

For the next minute,

Just follow the movement of your breath,

Allowing every inhale to bring you deeper into this present moment,

And every exhale to soften the body even more.

Beautiful.

Now,

Just becoming aware of the whole body,

Noticing your legs feeling relaxed,

Allowing the arms to also feel relaxed,

Maybe heavier,

Allowing your head to feel supported,

Allowing any tension in the neck and the shoulders to be released,

Feeling the chest gently rising and falling with each breath,

And then feeling your seat in the chair or on the bed,

Allowing yourself to be supported by anything that's beneath you,

Knowing that you have nowhere you need to be right now,

Nothing that needs your attention.

You can fully let go and be here in this present moment.

Beautiful.

Now,

Begin to picture a white light coming down from the sky and bathing your entire body.

This white light is healing.

You find it soothing and comforting.

This white light is both filling you on the inside and washing over you on the outside.

It eases your pain and grief like a big hug from a good friend.

Feel the light hugging you from the inside out.

Notice how it's lifting the extra weight you're carrying from your loss with grace and ease.

As you breathe in and out slowly and deeply,

The light fills your being where there was heaviness before,

Almost like the sun breaking up clouds.

As it does so,

You start to feel more and more at peace,

More and more at ease.

Now this light can change colors to give you the perfect vibration for you in this moment.

It can stay white if you're looking for peace and purification.

Blue gives you serenity and calm,

Knowing your soul wants to heal.

Green offers growth and new beginnings.

Pink gives you love and nurtures your soul.

Gold gives you wisdom and abundance to move forward in life.

And a multi-color light gives you everything you need to heal and move through grief with honor and respect.

Allow whatever light would be most supportive to you in this moment to be there.

Experience whatever color is being presented and simply receive its healing power.

Beautiful.

Now from this place,

Set an intention for this meditation to allow healing and release,

To receive the support you need.

You can say out loud or in your head,

I allow myself to grieve.

Now picture in your mind a beautiful place for you to process your grief,

Without any pressure to do so,

But simply allowing yourself to imagine a safe place where you can go when you need to feel your emotions.

A place where unconditional love and acceptance reside,

And there's no expectations,

No need to be a certain way,

No need to hold in emotions any longer.

Maybe it's somewhere you've been or someplace completely imagined.

It can be sitting alone on a beach at sunset.

It could be a cozy mountain cabin.

Design this place any way you want,

Making it very cozy,

Special,

Unique.

This will be your place for the duration of the grief process.

Go ahead and take a look at the place you've created,

Noticing anything you can see.

And if you can't visualize it,

Just imagine it.

Just feel it.

And breathe in the loving,

Healing energy that emanates from everywhere in this place.

Breathe out feeling safe and grounded.

And now imagine yourself taking a seat in this place,

And ask yourself what you need to do here today.

What grief does your body want to be felt and released?

What grief wants to be acknowledged in this moment?

Just listen to whatever your body and intuition are telling you.

Observe how you're feeling,

And allow yourself to bring those emotions up to the surface,

Knowing you're safe to feel them.

This is your sacred place.

This divine shelter has the ability to bless and transform what you experience and release.

As you feel each emotion,

The energy of the emotion takes its purest form and returns back to the universe,

Ready to become something else.

Take the time to feel what you need to feel right now,

And know that these emotions are not staying with you.

You are letting them go.

Go ahead and thank these emotions,

This grief,

For their wisdom,

Letting them go back to the universe around you,

Because their job is done.

You have allowed them to be experienced,

Which is what they needed.

Beautiful.

Know that this place will be here whenever you need it.

You can repeat this session any time you need to move through grief with ease,

Or just call to mind the safe place you've created for grief or other emotions.

Gently allow your safe place to fade from your mind,

And take a minute to just feel the inner peace and lightness that you've created through this healing practice.

Allow every breath to expand feelings of peace and lightness.

Beautiful.

I invite you to thank yourself for taking the time to do this practice and show yourself love and care in this way.

And start to gently come back to the present moment,

Maybe wiggling the fingers and toes,

Inviting movement slowly back into the body.

And whenever you feel ready,

Taking all the time you need,

You can slowly and gently open your eyes.
