Hello,

Welcome to this short meditation to help you feel calm and grounded.

If you haven't already,

Find a comfortable position and allow your eyes to gently close or gaze softly down in front of you.

And go ahead and rest the palms face down somewhere on the body as this can help you feel more grounded and supported.

Start to take slower and deeper breaths down into the belly,

Maybe sighing or even humming on the exhale to release any pent up stress or tension.

Good.

And you can let your breath fall back into its natural rhythm and just follow the cycle of breath as you breathe in and out.

Now go ahead and feel your feet and whatever is beneath them.

If they aren't touching something,

Just imagine there's an energy pulling your feet down to the earth.

See if you can sense this connection and allow it to ground you.

Now slowly move your awareness up to your seat,

Feeling that connection between your seat and whatever's under you,

Either a chair,

The floor,

Or a bed.

And again,

Can you allow yourself to surrender a little bit deeper,

Letting whatever's beneath you hold you up instead of needing to hold yourself up.

And then slowly take your awareness up to your heart space,

That area in the middle of your chest.

I invite you to bring one hand to your heart and just feel that connection between your palm and your heart beneath it.

Can you feel your heartbeat?

Notice that there's nothing you have to do to make your heart beat.

It does it all on its own.

And so let this be a safe,

Loving place you can return to anytime you need it.

And now I invite you to set an intention for the rest of your day or evening.

Maybe it's just one word that you want to embody.

Maybe something you want to release.

A wish or prayer you have for yourself,

Whatever feels true.

Beautiful.

Stay here as long as you desire,

And then whenever you feel ready,

You can gently open your eyes and move into the rest of your day with this calm,

Supportive energy.

Take good care.
