Hi,

I'm Laia.

Welcome to this 7-minute creative reset.

This practice is here for you on the days when inspiration feels slow,

Time is tight,

Or you've stepped away from your creative routine and want a gentle way to begin again.

We'll move through four simple anchors,

Journaling,

Reading,

Movement,

And a brief creative moment without pressure or perfection.

These are just small steps to reconnect you with your creative self.

So let's begin.

Find a comfortable seated position.

Elongate the spine,

Relax the shoulders,

Lengthen the neck,

And clench your jaw.

And soften the tiny muscles around your eyes.

Give yourself permission to arrive right here,

Right now.

Breathe in deeply.

Breathe out completely.

Notice how you feel in your body,

What's going on in your mind,

And how you feel energetically.

And I invite you now to grab your journal and your pen.

And we'll start with a moment of journaling or free writing.

You could jot down three words describing how you feel in this moment,

Or write a single sentence beginning with,

Today,

I need.

If writing isn't possible right now,

Simply reflect silently.

Now,

Bring your attention to something that you have read recently.

Think of a line from a book,

A passage you love,

Or a quote that stayed with you.

And if nothing comes to mind,

I invite you to imagine opening a book and reading the sentence you need to hear today.

Now,

Let's add a little bit of gentle movement.

So staying in your seated position,

Make your spine long again,

Let your shoulders relax,

Inhale.

And on your exhalation,

Bring your right ear to the right shoulder,

Opening through the left side of the neck.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Bring your neck to neutral as you inhale.

Exhale now,

Bring the left ear to the left shoulder,

Open through the right side of the neck.

Inhale here.

Bring the head back to neutral.

Now,

Take a moment to roll your shoulders one direction and then the other,

Noticing the sensation that arises as you do so,

Lubricating the joints.

Breathe in deeply.

Breathe out completely as you slow down the movement.

With your spine still long,

Now take a moment to roll your wrists,

Roll your ankles,

A few circles one way,

A few circles the other way.

Notice what the movement does for you physically,

But also mentally and energetically.

Slow down the movement and just bring one hand to your heart,

One hand to your belly as you soften your gaze or close your eyes.

And again,

Breathe in deeply,

Letting the breath expand front to back,

Side to side,

Top to bottom,

And let it go.

Now let's take a brief creative moment.

I invite you to once again grab pen and paper and write a sentence or sketch a line,

Brainstorm an idea,

Or if you don't have pen and paper,

Mentally envision a scene or a project.

For the next minute,

Allow yourself to focus lightly and without pressure.

Well,

My friend,

You've just completed a gentle,

Creative reset.

Remember that tiny actions repeated with compassion can shift your resistance,

They can help you rebuild momentum,

And they can allow you to return again and again to your projects without needing to be perfect.

Let's take one more slow breath in and a long breath out.

Thank yourself for showing up,

Even in this small way.

If you'd like to explore a deeper journey into building a sustainable creative practice,

I'd be honored to support you through my 21-day course here on Insight Timer.

Otherwise,

Know that this reset is always here when you need to begin again.

Thank you for practicing with me.

Take care.

Laia! This was such an an inspirational exercise! The visualization of imagining what sentence I need to hear felt powerful! As well as the visualizing of opening a book and imagining myself reading the sentence I need to hear. Wow! Thank you. Looking forward to your next lives.
