Welcome to your inner child guided meditation.
The term inner child refers to the part of us that carries the memories,
Emotions,
And beliefs from our early experiences.
The inner child work involves identifying and connect with this inner child,
With these parts of us,
Acknowledge their unmet needs,
Maybe their pain in that moment,
And working together to heal and integrate these parts of ourselves into our present lives.
When you're ready,
Find a comfortable and quiet place where you won't be disturbed.
You might want to be sitting down or laying down in a comfortable position,
Taking a couple of breaths into your nose and out through your mouth.
Breathing in and on your exhale,
Close your eyes and imagine yourself as your grown up self walking down a path in this beautiful forest.
The sun is shining,
The birds are singing.
You know you are safe and relaxed as you make your way deeper into the forest with your bare feet on the ground.
And as you keep walking,
You come across this small clearing and in the center of this clearing,
You see the younger version of you and you know this is your inner child.
You slowly approach,
Taking a moment to be with this child,
To be with yourself.
You might want to get closer or kneel down and notice what is it that they are wearing,
Their facial expression,
Their hair,
Their tiny hands and feet,
And any other details that stand out to you in this moment.
And maybe notice what age are they and what was happening in this time in their lives.
As you reach out gently,
You might want to take their hand,
Let them know that you're here to listen,
To help,
To offer your love and support.
And as they feel more and comfortable around you,
You might want to ask them what is it that you need right now.
And maybe you hear their response in words,
Maybe in images,
Or you might simply just feel a sense of what your inner child needs right now.
And whatever comes up,
Offer them with compassion and reassurance.
Maybe they want to hear your words of love and support,
Acknowledgement.
You can say,
I see you,
I hear you,
I totally understand what you're going through.
I love you.
You are absolutely loved and you are perfect.
You didn't do anything wrong.
Maybe they want physical affection,
Hugs and cuddles.
Maybe they want to play for a while.
Maybe they just want to sit in silence next to you or on your lap.
Take these few moments to embrace your inner child,
Showing them love,
Comfort and support.
And you might imagine wrapping them in a warm blanket or holding them close to you and visualize your inner child feeling safe and loved and supported in your arms.
And when you feel ready,
You might want to start saying your goodbye.
Ask them,
Is there anything else that you want to share with me?
And is there anything that you want to share with them?
Let them know that you're always here,
You are always available to connect.
This is important for both of you.
And when you're ready,
Take a deep breath in and slowly release.
Letting go now of any emotions or sensations that may have come up during this time and this meditation.
Start bringing back your awareness to your physical body and the present moment and the room that you're in.
And take a moment to thank yourself and your inner child for connecting today,
For allowing each other love and support.
And you know that you can return to this meditation anytime you want or need to connect with your inner child and offer this beautiful healing love and support.
And when you're ready,
Slowly,
Slowly bring your awareness to your eyes.
When you're ready,
Start opening your eyes and we return to the right here and now,
Feeling more connected to yourself and more present and at peace.
