Dedicated to Debbie, a student of mine who was struggling with balancing balance. It's easy to use "balance" as a way to brush aside uncomfortable things that need attention. Gratitude, acceptance, and commitment be to you.

This meditation is created for and dedicated to Debbie on August 24th 2020 Monday.

As always at the beginning of a meditation you want to sit in a nice comfortable way or lay down in a comfortable way.

You don't want physical pain to distract you much or at all if you can close your eyes or you can soften your gaze not looking at anything in particular eyes down you can have your palms or hands on your solar plexus or on your heart or both on your knees open palm or palm down whatever feels like is the correct way for you that is the correct way for you and if you want to sit up straight beware of not over correcting over correcting creates added tension you can over correct to get a sense of where you need to be but then it's just temporary a tool to help you know what is good for your body may take some deep breaths and filling up your lungs in your belly where they both pop out as you inhale you pause feeling the fullness and then exhale slow inhale feeling the fullness and pausing and exhale and you can make a sound of you so desire and when you do this keep your facial muscles as relaxed as possible particularly your brow you want your third eye to be in this space of relaxation breathe in feel the fullness and exhale and know that in this moment you are safe it is safe for you to feel any emotion that arises it is safe for you to feel anger worry despair and just allow these things to flow through you and if tears come allow them to come balance is about allowing yourself to experience so-called unpleasant emotions it allows us to feel the full capacity of our humanity and if you feel also feelings of joy and gratitude contentment allow yourself to feel those as well though there is so much going on in the world right now it's still okay to feel grateful for all that you do have and from there you can create and birth the compassion needed so that you can make decisions that will help everyone else around you to also experience the blessings that you have to make their paths easier to get there it is okay to feel unbridled passion unbridled simply means that there's no saddle on you your horse there's no saddle there's nothing on your face where someone has to direct you where to go that's the bridal you are allowed to be wild and free wild does not mean out of control it means living your divine truth no matter how it looks you take a few breaths move your hands if you desire make a shift in your posture relax and allow yourself to be but also know that allowing yourself to be is also allowing yourself to do to do you to be you there is no other you you allow your you to shine and in this way you will be balanced and any passions you feel any of that fiery energy won't burn you it'll light you up give you drive and momentum and allow you to stay focused on more than just your goal but on your joys on the happiness of doing the work that you love to do and having the fruit of your labors to taste sweet and good you I'm gonna be quiet for a moment and during this time imagine yourself going deeper into your core you into that deep self full of honesty and love and integrity and even a bit of shadow but your core you the you that will never die and has always been you now be quiet for a little bit so whatever experience you need to have you will have you you you you you you you you you begin to come back into surface consciousness allow that core you to shine through your eyes your heart and your soul integrating further with your body you know that you are a sacred and holy place your body is the temple of your soul and the heart of your mind you you whenever you feel ready and open your eyes take a deep breath and smile with a sigh you you and this concludes our meditation may all blessings bright and beautiful be yours
