This guided meditation invites you to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with the spaciousness that already exists within you. Through gentle breath awareness and mindful counting, you’ll release the sense of rushing and return to the abundance of the present moment. A short dharma reflection reminds us that caring for ourselves isn’t selfish—it’s essential, like eating or sleeping. When we honor our own time and presence, we naturally begin to share more freely with the world around us. Background Music by All: Ambient - Antartic Sleep

Hello and welcome in.

This is Dani.

We'll begin by finding a comfortable place to be seated or laying down.

And as you find that place,

Taking a moment to soften through the shoulders.

Soften the biting surfaces of the teeth.

Let the tongue rest gently in the centre of the mouth.

And just begin to feel into that flow of breath.

That cool air moving in through the nose.

And the warm air as it blows out through the upper lip.

And spending this moment here fully present in the awareness of the breath.

And if the mind starts to wander off,

Gently guide it back here to my words and to your breath.

And it's not an easy thing to stay present in the awareness of our breath,

Of our bodies.

But when we learn to cultivate that presence,

It is something that we can expand out to others and to the world around.

In a world where time seems so rare,

By being connected with the breath,

Fully present in ourselves,

This is a moment of learning.

Our days fill so quickly with the emails,

The errands,

Endless scrolling,

And people pleasing.

All the things we do to feel productive.

And yet,

Even in that productivity,

There is still no time.

If you were to consider time as a currency,

How would you spend it?

Would you invest it wisely?

Or let it slip through your fingers like grains of sand?

The time we give back to ourselves in those fully present moments of breathing,

Of moving our bodies,

Those moments are never wasted.

It might seem selfish.

But when we look at the root of the word selfish,

It centers around the word self.

It is about honoring us.

And when you eat,

Or sleep,

Or take a deep inhale,

We don't view those actions as selfish,

Because we know they are necessary to our survival.

So why do we feel guilty?

We're taking time to move.

Time to pause.

Time to listen inwards to ourselves.

And giving time to ourselves is an investment.

And as with any currency,

Investments expand.

They grow.

They take us to the life we want to live.

They do require patience and attention.

But they expand.

But unlike money,

Time isn't something we can earn more of.

But that doesn't mean that we can't be rich.

To be rich in time is to value the moments we have.

To surround ourselves with love and joy and laughter.

To cherish the minutes that connect us.

The minutes of connection to ourselves.

To our breath.

To each other.

And to the present moment.

How do you choose to spend your currency?

Taking just these minutes here to be fully aware of yourself.

As you dive in deeper to the breath.

To where the inhale travels down into the belly.

Expands the ribcage.

And flows back out,

Softening the ribs.

Settling the belly.

And fall.

And that crest.

And valley of breath.

Staying aware as you breathe in.

And breathe out.

And breathe in.

And count ten more breaths.

If you lose count,

That's okay.

Start back at one.

And let the moments pass by.

In connection.

In awareness.

Becoming abundant.

In this moment.

Maintain that sense of presence.

As you begin to come back to an awareness of yourself.

Beyond the breath.

Yourself in your entire being.

Time is the currency that cannot be traded.

It can only be shared.

So as you move about the days,

Invite yourself to invest your time wisely.

Spend it lovingly.

And share it abundantly.

The most precious thing we can ever offer to others,

To ourselves,

Is our own presence.
