Welcome in,

This is Dani,

And in today's meditation you will find yourself guided back to the foundation of your being.

So find a comfortable place,

Seated or lying down.

Release the biting surfaces of the teeth.

Drop the tongue away from the roof of the mouth.

Soften the shoulders and the neck.

As you arrive into this comfortable place,

Begin to notice your breath.

The way it feels as air travels in through the nose,

Down the throat,

To the chest.

And the way it feels out through the nose,

Warm over the upper lip.

That natural rhythm of breath,

In and out.

Then notice the points of the body that are grounded.

Feel the physical parts that are connected with the earth beneath you.

Observe if you are experiencing them in your mind,

Thinking about the connection,

Or actually feeling the interaction of surface and skin.

These basic sensations of breath and touch are foundational in our experiences.

Over time,

With the fuss and fancies in life,

We lose awareness of them.

Take a moment in this stillness.

In your mind's eye,

Visualize the world outside your window,

Whatever may be there.

Picture it bright and vivid.

And then begin to wipe away the shades of reality.

Envision a world in just the primary colors.

Nothing but red,

And blue,

And yellow.

Just as an artist returns to the foundational colors.

By shrinking the spectrum of shades,

The world somehow becomes a brighter kaleidoscope than before.

We allow in an appreciation for everything we may have missed.

For the depth of color,

The shades,

Every part of the world that exists outside.

With that image in your mind,

Of a world in basic colors,

Now expand your imagination.

How vivid can you make the scene outside?

The different shades of blue in the sky.

The white,

And pink,

And purple,

And grey clouds.

The different greens in the trees.

And not just visually,

But expand your awareness with sounds and smells.

And I wonder,

Perhaps the expansive clarity of the new world you vision is brighter than you pictured before.

Now,

Come back to the foundation of the body.

The points in which you connect with the surface beneath you.

Notice the temperature of the skin,

The spaces that may be holding tension.

The way the chest rises and falls with the expansion and release of breath.

And come back to the awareness of the inhales and the exhales.

Each one fuller than the last,

Slower and deeper.

The coolness of air drawing in through the nose,

Through the throat,

Expands in all four directions of the chest.

The way the warm air moves out,

Deflating you down to the earth,

The breath warm over the upper lip.

With the clarity of body and breath,

Notice the subtle intricacies of each.

When we can move about life with a detailed presence of our surroundings,

We find a deeper appreciation for everything that we are,

Everything that we do,

And everything that surrounds us.

Moving through life with intention allows a gratitude for all parts of our existence.

Stay with that slow,

Deep inhale of breath and the full exhale.

And as you're ready,

Bring awareness back to the physical body,

Wiggling into the fingers,

The toes,

Feeling each movement.

Begin to sway the head side to side and taking a final deep breath in to fully draw yourself back.

Let everything go.

Thank you for joining me on this meditation.

Have a beautiful day and I hope to see you soon.
