A practice created for the new year. Designed to help you relax and center your mind into a mindset that attracts abundance and allows/ invites acceptance of who you are. Do not feel pressured to change who you are but live in a way that your thoughts free blockages and trauma rather than create them.

Go ahead and take a second to find a comfortable seat either on your sit bones,

Sitting up straight with your spine tall or lie down on your back maybe resting your arms out by your sides in the pose of shavasana.

In either position relax your hands either palms facing up or down often times up if you feel like you're ready to receive some energy or down if you feel like you need some grounding.

Take a moment to adjust your body so you are comfortable taking any movements you may need to take now so that once we begin you can hold as still as possible.

Once you have arrived in a comfortable position go ahead and relax your eyelids close them turning your attention completely inward.

Use this time now to agree with yourself that you will give yourself this time this 5,

7,

10,

12 however long it may be.

Tell yourself now that you agree to keeping your eyes closed and your attention inward for yourself right now there is nothing else you need to do except be here in your body.

Drag your breath deeply into your lower belly letting your belly expand and then your chest holding your breath at the top for just a moment and then sigh your breath out of your mouth releasing all of that tension energy that your breath carried.

We'll take a few more just like this.

Breathe deeply into your belly,

Chest,

Hold at the top and then sigh out of your mouth.

Continue breathing like this.

Go with your own rhythm.

Breathing deeply into your belly filling up your chest holding that breath for a moment at the top and then sighing out of your open mouth.

This is a really cleansing breath.

It helps you to focus your attention on your breath while also cleansing any impurities like distracting thoughts or physical blockages in your chakras.

It's very calming and it helps to slow your mind.

You may notice that even as you focus your attention on your breath your thoughts start to wander.

If you notice that your mind has wandered to something other than your breath right now,

That's okay.

Take notice of what it is you're thinking about.

Maybe mentally say,

I am thinking about blank and then consciously bring your attention back to your breath.

At the bottom of your next exhale go ahead and gently close your lips and relax your breath.

Let your body take over and start to do the gentle inhale and exhale on its own.

If you like to you can keep your attention here on the falling and rising of your chest or the sensation of the air coming in and out of your nostrils or the rhythm of your breath.

You may also keep your attention on my voice or you can move on and create an affirmation mantra or intention.

Today is the first day of a new year but we have the opportunity to start fresh every time we tap into ourselves.

Every time we close our eyes and choose consciously what thoughts we want to allow to affect us.

We are starting new.

Every time we close our eyes and say,

I no longer agree with the way I'm thinking and I'm going to change that right now.

We are starting new.

Maybe you need more calm,

More peace,

More clarity.

Maybe affirm to yourself,

I am calm.

Because you are,

You already are,

You already have everything that you need inside of you.

You don't need anything else.

You don't need anyone else.

You don't need anywhere else except for this right now.

This turning inward is all you need.

Maybe as you inhale gently remind yourself,

I accept all blessings and lessons that come into my space for they are here for a reason.

And as you exhale,

You remind yourself,

I release all agreements that no longer serve the integration of my highest self with the self I am now.

Inhale I accept all blessings and lessons that come into my space as they are exactly what I need.

Exhale I release all agreements that no longer serve the integration of my highest self with the self I am now.

I am calm,

I am peace.

I am starting new.

Every second I turn in towards my highest self and choose which thought patterns I agree with and which ones I no longer want to act on.

Keeping your attention on my voice,

Your breath,

An intention,

A mantra.

Keeping your attention inward,

Keep breathing into the silence.

Know that you are whole,

Home and healthy every time you tap into this space of quietness in your being.

Know that you don't have to make any changes to who you are immediately.

All the necessary change will come naturally.

You don't need to force any newness on yourself for you are already you.

We are just working everyday to clear blockages that no longer support who we are becoming.

Your mind won't be completely quiet now and it probably won't be for a very long time.

The beauty is accepting that and noticing that we can find peace even when our thoughts are crazy.

We can quiet them and enjoy the peace we can create within.

Choose to start this new year with a mindset that says I choose my thoughts and my reality.

I choose the life I live in.

I choose my happiness.

I choose my well being.

I choose my reality.

Namaste.

I listen to it before going to sleep and it's a wonderful way to realize into the dream space. It helps me know when to be close and when to give space, it tames my recklessness but keeps my wild heart, it does not draw a line but wants what is right what is best for our lives
