Welcome.
For those of you who have panic attacks and anxiety attacks,
I truly know how debilitating that can be.
Wherever you're having them and whenever you're having them,
I'll share some of the insights that I use to deal with my panic attacks.
First of all,
If I have any control over where I am,
I would prefer to be at home or in a secluded room by myself with some access to music,
Either on my phone or through speakers.
And I would look for a song that feels safe,
Nurturing,
And comforting.
And I would put that song on while I'm having the panic attack to feel like I'm cocooned and in a safe place.
When the panic attack was over,
It was like angels were cradling me.
And that's just what I needed when I had panic attacks to feel safe.
I might not have control over the panic attacks,
But I've set aside maybe three to four songs with female vocals where the vocals sound very angelic,
Maternal,
And welcoming.
Almost like music that would cradle a baby to sleep because when I'm having a panic attack,
I'm in that fetal position,
Weak and powerless and completely helpless.
The other thing I would do when I have a panic attack is try to focus on my breath because the first thing that becomes completely irregular during a panic attack is my breathing.
So I will focus on taking an in-breath and an out-breath and an in-breath and an out-breath as much as I possibly can.
And these are some of the tools that I use,
Amongst others,
To deal with panic attacks.
Thanks.
