Hello and thank you for joining me in today's meditation.
I encourage you to find a comfortable position where you know you will not be disturbed.
This can be seated or lying down,
Whichever you feel that your body needs.
This time is for you.
Gently closing your eyes now and taking a moment just to check in with your body.
Noticing any areas which may be holding tension.
Counting to five as you take your first deep nourishing breath inwards.
As you breathe out,
Feeling this tension start to melt away.
Gently bringing your focus back to any areas of tension.
Taking a slow deep breath in through the nose.
Holding your breath as it reaches its summit.
And now letting your breath fall away as your muscles ease further and your body sinks further into the support beneath you.
Another deep breath in through the nose now.
Letting the nourishing oxygen fill your lungs.
And on your exhale,
Letting just a little more tension go.
Just letting it naturally melt away.
Gently beginning to scan the body now.
Starting first at your toes.
Gently wiggling them to bring your attention here.
Now noticing the balls of your feet.
Your heels.
Your calves.
And your knees.
And as you scan,
Observing any differences in temperature across the body.
Are there any areas which are cooler than others?
And where are the warmer areas?
Moving your awareness now to your thighs.
Your bottom.
Your stomach.
And your back.
Taking your focus to your hands.
Allowing them to stretch out wide.
And then relax back down into a comfortable position for you.
Moving your awareness up to your forearms now.
Your upper arms.
Your chest.
Shoulders.
And now to the face.
Letting your face completely relax now.
Allowing your jaw to release.
Your eyes to soften and rest back into the sockets.
Your cheeks to let go.
And your forehead to release all remaining tension.
Allowing the mouth to drop open slightly.
As you permit yourself to let go just a little further.
Taking a moment to notice the support beneath you.
Feeling the weight of your body on the support.
Noticing which areas of your body are in contact with the base.
The warmth and weight of your body against it.
Taking a moment now to be grateful for the support.
The support that stands on the earth.
The earth that holds us.
And now gently extending this gratitude to yourself.
For being here now.
For taking this time to invest in your own well-being.
Allowing the breath to take its natural rhythm.
Noticing its nourishing flow.
And embracing its effortless rise and fall now.
Resisting the temptation to change your breathing pattern.
By the trusting and accepting the intuition of the breath.
It will flow to meet your body's needs.
You may notice the breath as the cool fresh air at the tip of your nose.
Or in the gentle rise and fall of your tummy.
However you experience this.
Just letting these sensations wash over you.
Filling your body.
And nourishing your soul.
I invite you to share the following affirmations with me.
Gently repeating them to yourself.
And allowing them with the breath to flow freely through your body.
I am in support of everything in my life.
I forgive everyone,
Including myself.
A wealth of love resides within me.
To show this love to others,
First I must show love towards myself.
I deserve my love and affection.
Noticing these words flow through you with the breath.
Let them flow and let them energize your body.
I am all I need.
I am worthy.
I choose only that which is good to enter my life.
How others treat me is their own path.
But how I respond is mine.
Now allowing a gentle smile to enter your face.
I deserve to be happy.
I radiate positivity.
I see the good in myself and in others.
I am patient and loving with my fearful thoughts.
Letting these words wash over you.
Believing wholeheartedly that I am unique.
I work through my worries.
And then I let them go.
If I meet someone whose soul is not aligned with mine.
I show them love.
And then I let them go.
I take the time to look after my mind,
Body and soul.
I am loved.
Embodying the wonderful positive energy of these words.
As you know,
I accept all aspects of myself.
Wholeheartedly.
I am kind to myself in times of worry or discomfort.
I listen to my body and I respond to what it needs.
I choose my own path.
I have a fire of strength within me.
I can do anything that I set my mind to.
Surrendering to these words,
Letting them sink into all parts of you.
I forgive myself and then I move on.
I enjoy my own company.
I am wholly responsible for the day that I create for myself.
I treasure all aspects of myself.
I am resourceful.
My positive thoughts will create a positive life.
I am a person of faith.
Believing wholeheartedly that I have everything I need here within me in this moment.
I am enough.
Inviting you now to gently bring your awareness back to your breath.
And to your body.
And taking a moment to feel the sensations in your body.
To thank yourself for choosing to nurture yourself here today.
And reminding yourself that you can access this practice whenever you need.
You are enough.
Knowing this feeling can extend through to all parts of your life.
To your work.
To your interactions with yourself.
Becoming aware of your body.
And gently scanning your body again.
From your toes.
Ankles.
Your calves.
Your knees.
Your thighs.
Your bottom.
Your stomach.
Your hands.
Forearms.
Upper arms.
Your shoulders.
Your chest.
And your neck.
Very gently moving your head to the right.
Back to the center.
And now to the left.
Slowly back to the center.
And finally bringing your awareness to your face.
And letting a gentle smile appear on your face.
And whenever you're ready,
Very slowly just opening your eyes.
