Deepest Gratitude
Anchor your breathing up, and down the spine as we tune into everything you're deeply grateful for.
Transcript
And as we breathe in,
Steady breaths in and out.
Why don't we visualize that we're breathing that breath up and down the spine.
So on the inhale,
It's rising up from your sacrum,
Your tailbone,
Slowly all the way up the spine to the center between the two eyebrows.
Then exhale all the way back down.
Directing all of your awareness inside the body to notice what's going on.
Where you could use some assistance,
Some unkinking of the knots,
Any tension.
The breath symbolizes your awareness,
Your responsibility,
Your ownership of this life.
Reminding you that you are the watcher.
Nobody could do this work for you.
Keep those inhales traveling up the spine.
Let each breath take you deeper,
Slowing down,
Becoming a little bit more deliberate.
And a little bit more aware of that journey up and down the spine.
There are sanctuaries inside each of us.
We get to choose when to go find peace,
Shelter ourselves from the external environment,
And when to head back out into the fray.
We're going to choose peace.
We're going to choose the breath.
Choose to tune out all external stimuli.
Just let my voice guide you.
You can trust me because I want to take myself there too.
With each breath in and out,
Engage your diaphragm.
Feel your stomach expand out as you breathe in,
Up the spine.
Stomach going in,
Contracting in.
Just breathe out,
Traveling down the spine.
As our eyes are closed,
Breathing in and out.
Let your internal screen fade to white.
All of your thoughts or concerns,
What you're excited about today.
Everything can wait.
Seeing only white directly in front of us expand the edges of the screen out and around you.
Hundred feet wider on either side.
Hundred feet top to bottom.
Let it become the sky,
The walls.
Low edges.
Realize that this white space,
This gift is your canvas.
And only you get to decide what to paint on it,
What to create.
The mind will want to keep projecting ideas and thoughts and worries.
Just fade them to white.
At the top of the screen,
Reach all the way behind you.
Seated inside the center of a giant white globe.
Beautifully balanced light,
Perfect white,
Pristine.
Anchored in the breath,
Up and down the spine.
Every breath makes it more real.
Alternate the view from your first person perspective.
Seeing only white.
Viewing yourself from the outside,
The third person.
Sweeping circular shots of you seated in this beautiful white space.
Conscious view of you at puny center.
As we get comfortable being in complete control of this environment that we're immersed in,
We can allow some things that we're grateful for to be projected around us.
Start with your family,
Your friends,
Or the faces.
The faces that inspire you to be something more.
Let them slowly rotate around the walls,
Smiling.
Proud of who you are,
What you've created.
Bring your home into focus,
The aspects of your home that make it home.
That pull you back from all your journeys away from it,
Your flower beds,
Your favorite chair,
Your pillow.
Things that become too easy to take for granted.
Expand your gratitude to include the people you work with,
That you truly love working with.
The people you love to serve.
The impact you create through your words,
Through what you create.
Let it slowly rotate around you.
To our right,
Hockey puck size,
Is the pause button.
On a count of three to zero,
We're going to pause all of it.
Three.
Looking up at everything that we're a part of,
That we love,
That we're grateful for.
Noticing the opportunities for more,
Recognizing the path is through what we already appreciate.
Two.
Parents,
Brothers and sisters,
Friends,
Staring out at us,
Down at us,
Counting on us.
So grateful for our role in their lives.
One.
Increasing the definition,
Making it all more real,
More vibrant.
A hyperreality of the beautiful reality we live.
From your porch,
Down to your neighbor's house,
Your yard,
Path to your door.
Pause.
You're seated in a giant,
Projected image,
Tapestry that's unique unto you.
Increase the intensity of your breathing,
Up and down your spine.
Feel that divine electricity moving,
The spine's a conduit.
As you inhale up,
Expand your heart,
Expand your lungs,
Expand the room.
All the goodness in your life is as big as you make it.
Expand the walls,
Feel them swell with the breath.
As you breathe up the spine,
Project light back to all of the things you create.
Let everyone know,
Everything know that you're grateful.
Your breath and your light control the weather in this room.
Picture your relationship with all of these people,
This home,
This life,
This work you've created.
Forgive yourself for feeling that some days it's barely enough.
That's only you wanting to experience more.
Acknowledge the great days that are increasing in frequency,
Where you understand you have exactly enough.
We need nothing more to be complete than these people,
These memories,
This home,
This work.
Expand the lungs and the breath and the light.
Let everything know that your best days feel like this.
When all cups run a thover,
That it's more than what you could have asked for.
Breathe in deeper,
Project your light.
Let it grow warmer,
More vibrant.
Receive the light projected back to you.
Even breaths swelling in and out,
Expanding the abdomen,
Moving energy up and down the spine.
On a count from five to one,
We're going to dissolve into this light.
Five,
Slow fade,
Losing definition of the harsh lines of contrast.
Four,
Our skin where we're seated,
The walls becoming chalkier white.
Three,
The energy we're projecting and receiving becoming more vibrant,
Illuminating more.
Four,
The shadows and images of all of our memories,
Our current experience,
Merging with it to create more.
Four,
The sun,
Becoming a small sun at the center of this solar system.
The shadows fading in to the space that we take up,
One with all of it.
I am one.
We are complete.
We have access to everything we need at all times.
I am one.
I am complete.
I have access to all that I need at all times.
The sense of completeness,
The sense of gratitude is what creates more of what we're looking for.
My invitation for all of you is to try to keep the awareness of the breath up and down the spine as long as you can today.
Whenever you forget it,
Check back in with it.

Woke up feeling frazzled and racy-brained. Gifted myself this meditation to kick off my full Monday. Tears flowed and gratitude worked its magic when it didn’t feel possible. Thank you KC, that was awesome. I’ll be back for sure.

Very nice, good visualisation. I was at first uncomfortable with the racial overtones of imagining whiteness totally surrounding me. But he then explained it's a huge blank canvas to fill up with images of the people and things I'm grateful for, which was pleasant and creative.
