We are all so used to listening to what we tell ourselves as the truth. But, what if it isn't true? What if the things you have been calling yourself such as I am a failure, not good enough, etc. are not true? Often our thoughts are far from the truth but rather just thoughts we have rehearsed for too long. How would your life be different if you let go of the lies and believed the truth about yourself? It could make all the difference!

Welcome,

Dear one,

To what if it isn't really true meditation?

I want you just to sink into your chair wherever you're sitting or lying down.

Take a deep breath in and let it out.

Have you ever noticed how your mind is constantly talking?

It's constantly giving you opinions and thoughts,

Telling you what's true and what's not.

What if,

What if your thoughts are not true?

What if what your mind is telling you is a lie?

I understand it may feel true,

But what if?

Be curious with me.

What if it's a lie?

I want you to really go inside of you and ask yourself,

What is it you have been telling yourself about you?

What have you been believing is true about you?

Take a deep breath,

Let it out.

Come from a place of curiosity,

Not from judgment.

Really ask yourself.

Sometimes the freedom comes in just stepping back,

Taking a moment and really looking at what we've been telling ourselves.

You see,

Part of the challenge is a lot of our thoughts,

Our beliefs about ourselves have just been rehearsed.

From the time we were seven years old,

Our beliefs had been grounded in and we've rehearsed them,

Believed them,

Reinforced them.

But my guess is listening to this meditation,

You're ready to let that go.

There's a part of you that is curious.

What if it's not true?

All the things that I've been beating myself up over,

The names I've called myself,

The things I told myself were true.

I don't matter.

I'll never be good enough.

I'm alone.

I'm stupid.

No one cares.

I'm a failure.

I screw everything up.

I can't win.

Nothing works for me.

There's something wrong with me.

What is your go-to?

Identify it.

Don't be afraid of it,

But really look at it.

Take a deep breath.

What do you gain by listening to that voice,

By listening and believing that lie?

What would your life look like if you let that go?

How would you feel differently about yourself?

How would you show up differently in your life if you let that belief go,

That lie go?

What if you are more than enough?

You are perfect just the way you are.

You have everything you need.

You are whole.

There is nothing wrong with you.

What if those were the beliefs you held onto?

I am loved.

I matter.

I am worthy.

I have value.

I am light.

Really check in with yourself.

How did that feel?

Where do you feel that in your body?

Are you arguing?

Are you telling me in your mind all the reasons that's not true?

I just want you to be curious.

What do you gain from that by holding onto that?

I get that it's the familiar.

I get that it's safe.

But what if it's time to stop protecting yourself in a way that doesn't work and letting go of those beliefs so that you can step into the truth,

Into your light,

Into your power?

You really can do this.

It is yours to have.

You were created for it.

Now it's time to believe it,

To claim it as your truth.

Take a deep breath.

And as you get up from this meditation,

I would love for you to walk over and grab a piece of paper and write down the things that you have been telling yourself as if they were true.

Don't filter yourself,

Censor,

Just write them out.

Look at them,

Feel them,

And then I want you to rip it up.

Rip up that paper and throw it away.

Throw it in the fireplace,

Put it in the shredder.

And every time those feelings come back up for you,

Write them out and shred them.

It's about developing a new habit and it's one worth developing.

You really do have what it takes to do this.

Namaste.

Thank you.
