In this episode, Kolby explores our profound connection with the heavens through ancient monuments and our biological bond to the stars. From sacred stone circles to the rhythms encoded in our very cells, he traces how human beings have always looked upward for meaning. This journey reminds us that we are not separate from the cosmos, but living expressions of it.

Hey,

It's Colby.

Today I want to reflect on the stars and the cosmos that still lingers within us.

Let's get comfortable.

Take some deep breaths.

Breathe into the music.

Really focus on your breath.

When I was younger,

I had the incredible opportunity to travel through Egypt with renowned archaeoastronomer Robert Buval.

He was the one who discovered the striking correlation between the three stars of Orion's belt and the three great pyramids of Giza.

Buval believed that the ancient Egyptians were mirroring the heavens on Earth,

Building monuments to reflect the stars above.

The ancient Egyptians believed that the god of the afterlife,

Osiris,

Came from Orion.

And modern science offers an intriguing parallel.

The Orion Nebula is,

In fact,

A stellar nursery,

A place where new stars are actively forming.

Within its vast clouds of gas and dust,

Gravity pulls matter together,

Igniting the birth of stars.

We are made of those very same stars.

Carl Sagan famously said,

We are made of star stuff.

It's not just poetic.

It's scientific fact.

Every atom in our bodies was forged in the heart of ancient stars.

Now let's think about that for a moment.

Every atom in our bodies was forged in the heart of ancient stars.

We are made of star stuff.

To the ancient Egyptians,

Orion was Osiris.

They believed that in death,

The soul would return to Orion,

Reuniting with Osiris.

In essence,

They saw death not as an end,

But as a homecoming.

To the very place of their cosmic birth.

They saw death not as an end,

But as a homecoming.

There's something about that I really love.

Now,

Let's get still.

Really still.

Breathe into the music.

Don't tune out when I say we are one with the universe.

Because,

Literally,

We are.

The ancients knew it.

Carl Sagan knew it.

Our bodies,

Our consciousness.

Everything that we are is forever interwoven with the primordial cosmos.

Hey,

I'll say it one more time.

We are one with the universe.

Literally.

So let's quiet the noise.

Let's clear our minds.

And return to the place of our birth.

Our stellar nursery.

Orion.

The place where stars are formed.

So today,

Let's pause.

Let's look up.

And remember where we came from.

Because we are made of star stuff.

That's right.

You.

Star.

Stuff.
