This practice helps us to find a place of stillness and reconnection. It reminds us of how to relax and let go and trust that we are supported in each and every moment. Peace begins within you here. It's a beautiful place to be. Music by Chris Collins

Welcome to this meditation for stillness and reconnection from alwayschoose.

Com.

My name is Kirsty MacDonald and I welcome you into this time and space for you.

Find a space where you can sit comfortably,

Somewhere where you will be undisturbed,

Preferably with your back straight but relaxed.

And take a moment to move yourself into a comfortable,

Relaxed position.

Perhaps rocking slightly forwards and backwards and from side to side so you can find your centre.

And then bring yourself to stillness and slowly close your eyes.

Start by taking a few deep breaths,

In and out.

Just letting go of anything that has come before now in your day.

Exhaling anything that is not necessary to hold onto in this moment.

And then letting your breath settle,

Finding a place of stillness in your body that your mind can begin to recognise as home.

Allow your attention to rest in that inside place.

Just allowing wherever you are at to be exactly right.

Sometimes you may find when you sit your mind may be more active and sometimes more quiet than you might expect.

Under the surface relaxation always there though,

Always available in spite of your thinking mind.

Just be exactly where you are without judgement or expectation but with acceptance and love in whatever way you can find that now.

And if you were to begin to relax even more fully,

Just notice where you would start to experience this feeling,

Sinking deeper throughout your body.

Without really needing to pay very much attention at all to your heart beating softly.

Your breath settling now.

Feeling any feeling that takes you to a greater place of calmness,

Of stillness.

Being here now.

Coming back to this moment of experience.

This heartbeat.

This breath.

And this one.

And this.

Finding a place of more stillness inside.

A place that belongs to you and is also beyond you.

Sinking your awareness down now.

From here.

Perhaps to your chest or heart space.

Just gently allowing the opening of any closings that you might feel here.

In whatever way you already know how to do this.

Breathing into this.

Always opening in ways that feel right to you.

And releasing.

Almost like unlocking parts of the body that may be holding a little more than perhaps they need to in this moment.

Releasing.

Allowing.

Always choosing to be in this moment.

And letting your attention settle here in stillness.

A still body leading to greater stillness in the mind.

That perhaps already knows how to be so much more still and calm in all of your life.

Because really this is a remembering.

This isn't about learning anything new.

Just remembering what we already know how to do.

Deep deep inside.

A quietening healing place for you.

That always exists within you.

That always knows how to listen to who you are.

That always knows.

The reconnection to awareness.

The awareness of just being.

Now.

Here.

And in every moment remembering.

And when you're ready in your own time and in your own way.

Taking a few deeper breaths that just mean you can bring those relaxing feelings back with you.

That means you can stay connected to that stillness inside.

Feeling more of your physical body now.

Perhaps bringing in some movement.

A wiggle of your fingers and toes.

Opening your eyes when you're ready.

And bringing you fully back into the space that you're in.

Ready to get on with whatever's coming next in your day.

Thank you for taking the time to be here today.
