Forgiving yourself meditation.
Sit or lie down and close your eyes.
Make sure that you're comfortable.
Then you go with your attention to your breath.
Just observe how your breath is in this moment.
If you feel that it's still a little high,
You can place a hand on your belly to help your breath get deeper.
When you're lying or sitting like this,
You feel that you become calmer and more and more relaxed.
Breathe deeply and slowly,
Feeling more and more relaxed.
Now imagine that you're lying on the beach.
With your body in the sand you feel very grounded,
Very balanced.
You feel how you are connected to the earth.
The sound of the sea,
Of the waves coming and going,
Relaxes you more and more.
Now take a deep breath and feel how you relax even more.
You listen to the calming sounds of the sea.
You feel the soft breeze touching your face,
Your hair,
Your skin,
And you smell the salty smell of the sea breeze.
Sitting like this you relax even more.
After a while you notice a child standing at your feet.
You look up and see that it's your younger self.
It's a young you that you're looking at.
You are a little confused,
But when you feel better,
You ask your younger self why he or she came to see you.
This is the answer that you get.
Oh lovely,
I came to see you because you need forgiveness.
You need to be forgiven and you need to forgive,
Especially yourself.
There is no need to hold on to resentment,
Anger and energy draining situations that you're still thinking of.
You can let that all go,
But you have to forgive yourself.
That's why I'm here.
I am here to forgive you and I'm here so you can forgive me.
You stand up so you and your younger self are standing in front of each other.
Now imagine that from both of your hearts love is flowing to both of you.
Both of you are being filled with love and a big bubble of love is creating around you.
A big bubble filled with love.
Now standing together in this bubble of love you look at your younger self and you say I forgive you.
I forgive you for whatever I am holding you responsible for.
I know you did it with the best intentions and never meant any harm.
I forgive you fully and completely and I love you.
I am sorry for anything that I might have done to harm you or others.
It was never my intention.
Please forgive me.
Your younger self answers.
Thank you.
I forgive you too.
I forgive you for anything that you might have done to me or anyone else.
I forgive you fully and completely for I know you handled from your best knowing every time.
I forgive you because I love you.
I am sorry for anything that I might have done to you that caused you harm I never meant to.
Thank you for forgiving me.
I love you.
Then you hug each other and your younger self leaves.
You're still standing on the beach,
Feet in the sand and hearing the waves coming and going again.
You feel different.
You feel lighter.
You feel like you let go of a lot of emotional weight and it was time.
You feel happy and loved.
And then when you're ready you can slowly come back to the here and now.
Back to the place where you're lying or sitting.
Slowly you start moving a little.
And when you're ready you open your eyes.
