This is Kip with the Hollister Institute.
Today our meditation will focus on releasing stress.
Please join me.
Take a moment to get in a comfortable position,
Away from distractions,
And when you are ready,
Gently close your eyes and take a slow deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
And two more deep cleansing breaths in through your nose,
Feeling your lungs expand and your stomach expand.
And as you exhale,
Exhale any limiting beliefs that get in your way and acknowledge yourself for choosing to be present here and now.
And as you continue breathing,
I want you to watch your breath and watch how your breath connects to your body as its life force.
And as you're breathing,
Observe a sense of calm,
Relinquishing any stress that you have in this moment.
Please know that thoughts are part of the meditation experience.
So allow your thoughts to come through and stay detached from them and bring yourself back to watching your breath.
Ride the wave of your breath.
Just visualize what that feels like in your body as you ride the wave of your breath.
Surrender to this gentle dance,
Away from distractions,
Detached from your thoughts,
Presencing yourself to this space of respite.
And I want you to do a scan of your body,
Starting at the crown of your head,
Moving down from the crown of your head.
Just observe where in your body do you carry your stress.
Observe what it feels like.
Maybe it's in your head.
Maybe it's in your jaws,
Your neck,
Your gut.
And just go to the place or places and be with whatever comes up.
What are you feeling?
Allow yourself to feel the sensation of how this stress manifests in your body and observe it without judgment and without criticism and without trying to change it.
Read it and surrender to it.
And I now want you to imagine this white ball of energy moving down from the sky,
Moving down through the crown of your head.
And maybe this energy takes on a different color.
Just presence yourself to this energy and allow this energy to move to those places that you just identified as where you hold your stress.
Allow this energy to circle and blend around that area,
Permeating into the crevices of that area,
Protecting you,
Healing you,
Loving you.
Imagine this energy being like a warm blanket wrapped around you,
Accepting you for who you are.
And if there are more spaces,
Allow this energy to move to your next space of stress and observe how it feels now.
This energy represents your Source,
Your Source energy that you have access to at any moment.
Bring your awareness to this sense of calm,
Possibly amidst some turbulence.
And observe your ability to stay detached from your thoughts and stay plugged in to this energy that is here to protect you and guide you and support your journey in this moment in time.
This meditation is a gift you're giving yourself.
Allow yourself to access this any time of the day when you're feeling a sense of stress or a sense of dis-ease.
As you continue breathing,
Breathe yourself back into your bodies,
Taking a deep cleansing breath.
And as you do,
You may want to wiggle your fingers or your toes,
Presencing yourself to the here and now.
And in this relaxed state of being,
Be present and connected with you.
And when you are ready,
You may gently and slowly open your eyes.
