Welcome to Men's Search for Meaning Over Money.

I'm so glad you're here live for those of you who are live.

And I'm especially glad that you're listening to this recording because a lot of people that listen to the recording,

You actually showed up live and you listened to the recording.

How awesome is that?

So congratulations to you for continuing your search for meaning.

And based on the work that I teach,

We put meaning over money,

But money is part of it.

And that's why today we're going to talk about our prosperity pillars.

So this week,

Prosperity pillars,

Next week,

Prosperity principles.

I know they're very close and there's a lot of information here,

So I hope you're ready.

And what's funny is a lot of this I've shared in different places in different ways,

But because it is so much information,

It's very difficult to get all of it at once.

So allow yourself to let it trickle in little by little.

That's why this is going to be about a good 20 weeks of live sessions,

Live and live taped sessions that will take you down a path so you can discover your prosperity.

You can discover what money means to you.

You can discover how to put meaning over money and you're going to be discovering all along the way.

So let's jump right in because as I mentioned,

We have a lot to cover.

The prosperity pillars,

I'm going to first give them to you.

So I'm going to tap them into the comments for those who are here live.

And some of you already know this,

But you need to be reminded because it's awesome to remember this,

But there's wealth,

Health,

Adventure,

Love,

And legacy.

These are,

These are the prosperity pillars.

However,

Each one of those pillars has some subtitles to go with them.

So wealth is the money part.

So we said the search for meaning over money,

But we are going to talk about money first because money a lot of times is the way that you get to the other things.

They say money can't buy happiness.

I say money can help you go out and find happiness.

So no,

You're not going to buy it.

And you especially need to know what really makes you happy in order for that to even work.

So money can only help you go out and find happiness if you know what makes you happy.

Most of the time we're going after fleeting pleasures,

Not real true happiness and fulfillment.

So we never fill the voids.

In this case,

We're going to break down each thing so you can get really clear on each pillar.

So pillar number one,

Wealth,

But wealth breaks down into five areas and you can take notes if you like.

This is earn,

Grow,

Protect,

Gift,

And enjoy your money.

Yes.

We save the best for last.

So wealth is made up of what I call the money cycle and the money cycle is earn,

Grow,

Protect,

Gift,

And enjoy your money.

And how you navigate the money cycle is going to determine your lifestyle.

So that's number one wealth.

That is the first prosperity pillar.

Earn,

Grow,

Protect,

Gift,

And enjoy your money.

And in that order,

We can break these down.

You can ask questions when we,

When we go into Q and A,

But I want you to first have all the information.

The second pillar is health.

Health breaks down into sleep,

Nutrition,

Physical activity,

And stress management.

Now,

If you get the first one wrong,

If you don't get sleep,

The rest of them will suffer.

So you have to get the sleep right,

Which is why you'll see quite a few,

You'll see meditations from me.

Not so much on Insight Timer.

I think I may only have one or two sleep meditations here on Insight Timer,

But in my program,

We talk a lot about sleep.

We talk a lot about sleep because the more you can get your sleep right,

The more the other things get fall into place.

Because if you don't sleep well,

What's going to happen is you're probably going to eat food or drink drinks that help you to feel like you got sleep,

Even though you didn't,

Right?

Like you may have more coffee or you may have more carbs and these are going to affect your health.

So then that second one,

Nutrition is important.

If you can get the sleep right,

Then you go to the nutrition and really finding out what's right for your body.

You don't have to follow the trends of what's out there.

You don't have to do what's right for somebody else.

You follow what works for you.

And you know that by listening to your body.

Now,

Nutrition is the biggest part of what in inner,

Inner health.

But a lot of times,

If you want that outer like physique,

You're going to have to do some physical activity.

You want to tighten and tone and all of that stuff.

Then what is your physical activity?

I'm here in France and in Nice and on the promenade d'Anglais,

There are always runners and bikers and say,

What are those things called?

Blades,

Rollerblades.

Yes.

Rollerbladers and walkers,

Which is what I do.

I just walk.

And so and that's fine.

Whatever you like,

Whatever physical activity.

I also like tennis.

So that could be yours.

You just find a physical activity that gives you the ability to move your body because movement is a big part of healing.

Movement.

You have to move.

A lot of times when we have trauma in our life,

It is stuck in our bodies and not really a lot of times,

All the times,

But I like to just say a lot of times,

Just so people don't call me out.

A lot of times the trauma is stuck in your body.

The way you get it out is a healing modality like self-sync therapy.

But you can't do it without getting it out of your body.

Sometimes I might be through massage that could be through dance or another physical activity,

But you need to move your body and get that stress and that trauma out of there.

Speaking of stress,

You're moving on to stress management,

Stress management,

Super important,

But you're here,

Right?

You're doing your meditation.

Well,

Right now we're doing our lesson,

But we'll be doing our meditation in just a few minutes.

So your stress management,

Absolutely imperative.

I recommend two meditations a day,

But you do what works for you.

Two meditations,

20 minutes a day.

Some people like to meditate for an hour.

Some people like to meditate for 10 minutes,

Whatever works for you,

But make sure it's working and you know that it's working because you are managing your stress level.

If you are not managing your stress level,

It is not working and you need more.

Pretty simple,

Right?

Good.

All right.

So move it,

Moving right along.

Adventure.

Adventure is made up of fun.

Like what is fun to you?

What is,

Um,

You know,

Lively,

What warms you up?

But also I want you to think about your hobbies and your leisure time.

Oh my gosh.

What?

Yeah.

Yeah.

So you'll need to have hobbies.

Like so fun could be going to a party,

Right?

Hobby that could be crafting if you like.

And then leisure that could be reading,

Spending time on the beach.

Um,

Whatever,

Wherever you get to relax,

You may be even in a meditative state.

So you may not be meditating,

But sometimes reading can put you in a meditative state.

Even though you're not meditating,

You're,

You're breathing,

You're calm and your nervous system is at rest.

Your hobbies sometimes can get you excited,

Get you pumping,

Get that adrenaline pumping,

The endorphins going in your body,

And you're likely doing something that you enjoy and eventually good at.

Sometimes you start a hobby,

You're not good at it in the beginning,

But the more you do it,

The more better you become at it.

And then fun is just maybe this is the thing you just did once.

Like you went parasailing or skydiving horseback riding,

Something maybe it's not something you do all the time.

So those are the three areas that I liked you to look at.

But one little caveat I will say about adventure is this a lot of times is where people put travel in.

So when we look at fun,

I want you to be thinking about your travel,

But also other places that you might want to visit.

So when you,

When I say fun,

Even though I said each one of the adventure has three,

You know,

Subtitles fun has a little bit of a subtitle too.

Fun,

We're going to be looking at maybe your travel,

Like places you want to go,

Maybe places close to you locally,

But also places that maybe out of the country.

So then the next thing you want to think about is love.

Yes.

Love is made up of your family.

So that could be your for many of us family is a little bit undefined.

Now,

You know,

It used to be a mother,

A father,

A kid,

Right.

But might not be that way anymore because of divorce and remarriages and stepchildren and adopted children and you know,

All kinds of extended family.

So whatever you consider is family so that there's no textbook family and then their friends,

Which I know some people consider their friends,

Their family,

But for those friends that you don't put in the family category,

These are those friends,

Those other friends.

So,

And that could be a good difference too,

Because maybe you have friends that you see all the time and then you have that friend that you maybe only see once or twice a year cause maybe they live in another country or you,

You know,

Just cause life,

You don't get to see them.

But when you guys get together,

It's like you never separate it.

So that's friends,

Family,

Community.

So these are the people around you.

It could be your neighborhood.

It could be a little bit further than that.

And also community can be groups that you are a part of,

You are associated with.

And then the last part of love is the world.

Now for some people,

This may not mean anything.

You may not have the need to be significant to others in the world,

But for many people being significant,

Being known in the world,

Making a name for yourself,

That is important.

And if that is,

Then that's going to be partly how you define your idea of prosperity when it comes to love.

So that breaks down to family,

Friends,

Community,

And the world.

Legacy.

Let's break down legacy.

Legacy.

Legacy is deep because legacy,

I'm going to give you these are,

Are,

Are.

So it's these three R's.

Um,

Reason,

But reason is like your purpose.

Can I get some hearts on a purpose?

Many of us are searching for our purpose.

I am so incredibly blessed to know my purpose.

And um,

I know that my purpose,

Or you may hear me call it,

My mission is to alleviate human suffering associated with money.

That's why I do this work right now.

I typically do this work for wealthy people,

But here on Insight Timer,

I do it for everybody,

But especially my good rich people.

And I love to do this for my good rich people because good rich people,

The opposite of good rich people are greedy rich people.

Doesn't matter.

I do work with greedy rich people,

But here on Insight Timer,

I almost always work with good rich people,

Which I love doing.

But your reason is your purpose.

Your reason is like you,

You believe you came to this world for a certain reason.

You see,

That's how you can think of it.

So your legacy,

Did you get to that reason?

Sometimes,

I don't know.

Sometimes people don't and that's okay.

You just see maybe if reincarnation exists,

Maybe you'll get a chance to do it all over again.

So your reason.

The next one is your reputation.

That is a legacy you're leaving and most of us want a reputation that we can be proud of.

How about you?

Are you thinking,

I love it if people remembered me a certain way.

Oh,

She was so kind.

Oh,

He was so generous.

Oh,

Whatever you look,

How you ever,

You want to be described.

Whenever I do self-sync therapy with a new client,

I always ask them,

How do you want to be described when you leave the room?

How do you want to be described when you leave the room?

Now that really wasn't supposed to be for today.

That's supposed to be in a whole nother session,

But I just love that question so much that I want it to,

I wanted to share it with you.

So how do you want to be described when you leave the room?

And that can kind of tell you that's part of your reputation.

That tells you the reputation that you want to have.

Now the last part of legacy is reflection.

When you reflect on your life,

How does it feel?

Does it feel meaningful?

Does it feel happy?

Hurtful?

Like did you hurt a bunch of people along the way?

Did you get hurt by a bunch of people along the way?

Did you forgive?

Did you need other people you need to forgive?

Did you get forgiveness?

You know,

All of those things start to come into play.

If we're lucky enough to have a long life and get to reflect over it.

And sometimes when you're young,

You're not really thinking about your legacy,

But legacy is important.

So I want you to give it some thought.

And those are our questions.

Those are our prosperity pillars.

I have six questions I need you to ask,

And I'm going to go through them very quickly,

But this is your field work for today and make sure you do it.

Okay?

So here's your field work.

Number one question I want you to ask yourself,

What is my idea of prosperity?

Okay.

Number two question I want you to ask yourself,

What is my idea of wealthy?

Because prosperity is like the overall idea and it kind of encompasses all of the ones I've just named,

But I want you to break each one down.

What is my idea of wealthy?

It could be a dollar amount.

It could be a feeling,

But just write it down.

It's totally up to you what you write down.

What is my idea of healthy?

That was number three.

Number four,

What is my idea of adventure?

For some people,

It might be skydiving.

Other people,

Not so much,

Right?

So that was number four.

Number five,

What is my idea of love?

And the final one,

I'm guessing,

I'm guessing you can figure it out by now.

What is my idea of legacy?

Now all of these have to be your idea because we live in a world where society wants to give us the American dream or this cookie cutter life and say,

Everybody has to live.

Then happiness looks like this.

You live like this.

If you want to be happy and it's just not true.

So I'm giving you permission to design your own version of happiness,

Your own version of prosperity and the good life and what I call the presidential lifestyle.

So that's all for now.

Now I want you to make sure you get,

You stay for the meditation.

If you're listening to this recording,

It's separate.

You're going to go to the meditation in the free meditation area and it's going to be search for meaning over money meditation too.

So this is lesson two.

The one that goes with this is meditation too,

Which we're about to get to now.

I'll see you sooner.
