I'll do a session called,

Have hope.

So,

I think the point of this is,

Sometimes when we are feeling down,

Or things are not working out the way we hope it would be,

We're not achieving something that we had set out to do.

So,

I think here it's really these two words,

Have hope.

Maybe we are feeling overwhelmed at work,

Maybe not getting along with our colleagues or our friends or even family members.

And so,

Maybe just remembering,

Have hope,

Allow us to go through this journey as kindly as possible.

So,

In all our meditations,

It's very important to be comfortable,

But not to a point where,

You know,

It's easy to fall asleep.

The recommendation is to sit upright,

Or if you wish to lie down,

It's also fine.

Closing the eyes is optional,

Or you can keep them open,

Not just diverting your gaze away from the computer or your phone.

So,

Just come in to sit or even stand or lie down.

And just taking a moment to feel the body.

Acknowledging the body,

Its existence.

Often we live in our head,

In our thoughts,

In our stories.

The invitation here is to just acknowledge the body,

To feel the body.

To feel the body sitting on the chair or lying down.

Or if you're leaning back on the chair and then just feeling the body leaning back,

Feeling the frame of the body inside the body.

Noticing any sensations that may be calling for your attention or maybe sensations that you never realized that you had these sensations in the body.

And of course,

The mind may wander because it is designed to wander.

Well,

Have hope that you can bring your mind back to the body.

Have hope that you can sit through this practice.

Even in the past,

It has been difficult to focus.

Just keep bringing the mind back to the body.

And bringing the attention to how you're feeling right now.

Feeling tense or maybe feeling at ease.

If it helps taking an in-breath and exhaling an out-breath,

Releasing any tension that may have been building up.

So your mind may be telling you,

Wow,

How long is this practice going to be?

Or feeling of giving up.

I'm just bringing these two words to mind.

Have hope.

And returning the attention to the body.

Choosing a part of the body that you may like to focus on.

Like the contact of your body on the chair or bed.

Or feeling the chest area.

Or maybe the belly.

Or the face,

Facial features.

And just breathing in,

Breathing out.

Allowing yourself to just release any tension.

And maybe some negative thoughts.

Maybe coming to the mind or maybe judging yourself or judging others.

Just allowing these two words,

Have hope.

Sink in.

Have hope that you will find the solution.

I hope that things will work out okay.

That you'll be okay.

Now at any point of the medication,

If you feel like you need to move or open your eyes,

It's okay.

Let's do what's most comfortable for you.

So it's not boot camp.

There's no forcing.

If you need to stretch or need to just stand up for a while,

It's fine.

Have hope that you can be in this meditation.

The mind will wander and it's fine to spring the mind back to the body or to the breath.

Let's do what's most comfortable for you.

You you you you you you or maybe you have zoned out or falling asleep just coming back to the body keeping in mind have hope you have hope to stay alert a week you maybe that's something that's troubling you you're causing unhappiness or making you angry and upset just allowing the words have hope to stay with you you have hope that you won't always be sad you won't always be anxious you won't always be upset you you you you i have a poem here about hope this is written by emily dickinson hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words and never stops at all and sweetness in the galley is heard and so must be the storm that could abash the little bird that kept so many warm i've heard it in the chiller's land and on the stranger's sea and on the stranger's sea yet never in extremity hope asks the crumb of me crumb of me so the invitation is to remain hopeful whatever circumstances that you are in that things will work its way and then you'll find a solution and let you be okay just one more time just dropping into the body and really feeling it you're feeling whatever emotions are arising just acknowledging that whether it's peace or calm or sleepiness even just acknowledging that fatigue and patting yourself on the back for showing up and when you're ready just opening the eyes being in this space again
