Hello and welcome.

This is Kim Carmen Walsh,

Welcoming you aboard tonight's Christmas Polar Express train.

Tonight's journey is through the snowy polar landscape.

Perhaps you're taking a small Christmas retreat,

Giving yourself some time away from the outside of the world,

Before you drift into sleep.

To help you connect with the deeper peace and quiet of the snow-covered mountains.

Feeling the soporific movement of the train and listening to the relaxing sound of the train on the tracks.

So,

When you are ready,

Take a deep breath in.

.

And as you breathe out,

Close your eyes and begin to relax.

As you bring your attention to the sounds you now hear.

.

.

.

.

The background sound of the train.

.

.

.

.

The sound of my voice.

.

.

.

.

To any sounds that you hear where you are.

Allowing each and every sound you hear to help relax you.

To let go of the outside world.

And you'll find the rhythmic sound of the train and the awareness of the gentle swaying movement feel so soothing and reassuring.

Helping you to drift easily and naturally into sleep.

So that you sleep throughout the night and awake in the morning,

Only at a time that you set for yourself.

Feeling relaxed,

Optimistic and joyful.

Should you need to wake during the night,

You will do so.

Tend to whatever needs attending.

Return to bed.

And just by bringing your attention to your breath.

To the sensation of allowing each out-breath to relax you.

To feel yourself sinking more deeply down into your bed as you breathe out.

And you'll easily fall back to sleep.

Allowing yourself now to be transported into your imagination.

Experience yourself in your own personal train cabin.

It is night time.

And the cabin lights are lit low.

You are feeling warm and cosy in your cabin bed.

And the bedding is made of soft downy feathers and fresh clean cotton.

You find the gentle swaying movement.

.

The sound of the train on the tracks.

.

.

.

.

The soft lighting and comfy bed.

.

.

.

.

All these things helping you to feel so relaxed and content.

As the train makes its way through the snowy landscape outside.

.

.

You are filled with a beautiful sense of quiet wonder and delight.

Turning the cabin lights off.

.

.

.

.

And looking out of your cabin window.

.

.

.

.

You can see the full moon reflecting its glistening light through the snow-covered landscape.

The train is currently making its way through a forest.

.

.

.

You can see the boughs of the trees weighed down with deep soft snow.

.

.

.

.

And beams of magical moonlight make their way through the tree canopy.

.

.

.

.

Just here and there.

.

.

.

.

Shimmering on the snow-covered ground beneath the trees.

And as the train emerges from the forest.

.

.

.

You see an owl gliding silently out from the tree tops into the wide open clear sky.

.

.

.

.

Its silhouette against the moon as it flies up towards the distant snow-capped mountains.

The scene outside has a magical,

Mystical quality.

.

.

.

.

And the deep peace and quiet of the landscape.

.

.

.

.

Combined with the soft rhythmic sound of the train on the tracks.

.

.

.

.

Helps you to let go more deeply.

.

.

.

.

To feel a connection with the peace and majesty of this environment.

.

.

.

.

To the sounds you now hear.

.

.

.

.

The sight of the snowy landscape.

.

.

.

.

Along with the sensation of sinking deeply down into your bed.

.

Helps you to drift and float into sleep.

To drift into the land of your dreams.

Feeling so tranquil.

So that your emotions and your thoughts are focused and positive.

Knowing that in the present moment you are always held in the loving kindness and protection of your higher self.
