Good morning from Calgary,

Alberta.

It's 7 a.

M.

Now,

10 to 7,

Sunday,

September 6th.

My mouth is having a challenge saying September,

And it's already the 6th of September,

And I keep wanting to say August.

And it's 2020.

So as always,

Whatever day,

Whatever time you're listening to this,

I hope you're well in the world.

And I hope that I wish for you just a really beautiful day ahead,

Or an ending to the day if you're finishing this at night.

And whether you're in a walking meditation or a sitting meditation,

Your eyes opened or closed,

Whatever today seems to just suit your soul,

Allow that to be with you.

There are no rules and regulations of what your meditation needs to be,

But just to be open and willing to be sometimes uncomfortable with your meditation.

Not every time,

But just once in a while.

Shift your meditation,

Shift it from its normal routine.

And that sends such a powerful message to your soul,

To your heart,

To create some courage within you.

And courage is this beautiful breaking point,

Or this beautiful spot between lower vibration emotions of fear,

Of apathy,

Of depression,

Of ego,

Of jealousy.

And it branches you off into the higher emotions of love,

Of compassion,

Of willingness.

And so it is such a powerful thing to feel courage.

And it's quite simple to find just in your daily routine.

Breaking out of the routine,

Taking a different road to your way home,

Buying some different fruits and vegetables at the store,

Calling someone instead of texting you.

These small simple things set courage in motion for you so that you can start to do more courageous things that allow you to then find more love,

More compassion.

Many years ago when I was traveling in Thailand,

A woman I met had these angel cards and I pulled one and I forgot how just simply beautiful it is.

So I will share that with you followed by a simple reading.

So if you can just for a moment pause for a moment as you are walking and doing something else with your soul.

And just for a moment close your eyes.

Close your mouth,

Your lips,

Really softly so that they are in touch.

Start to breathe in fresh air,

Fresh oxygen,

Fresh energy.

Breathe deep into your belly and really allow your belly to fill.

Let that rise up towards your diaphragm in the center and then up into your upper chest.

Breathe,

See if you can feel your breath move across your back and really expand as if the skin has become just a little bit tighter.

And then just for a moment pause and hold that breath.

And then slowly with your lips still softly closed,

Try to let the breath release slowly through your nose.

Feel it leaving your whole body and then willingly and encouragingly empty your belly.

Really draw it in and wring out everything.

Get rid of all the carbon dioxide,

All the stale energy,

All the stale oxygen so that you can feel it again.

And then see if you can slowly sit down without rushing the breath.

Breathing in fully,

Belly,

Center of your body,

In your chest.

Pause,

Trust,

Exhale slowly in your chest,

Center of your body and belly until you are completely empty.

And pause,

Trust and breathe.

Open your arms and release the challenges that you've held so tightly gripped within your hands.

Open your hands,

Arms and heart to love and assistance.

You've been trying to fix this situation single-handedly.

The angels would like to help you answer your prayers but first you need to surrender and release the situation.

Surrender simply means that you're tired of struggling.

It means emotionally letting go with faith that the divine wisdom of spirit,

Which includes your higher self,

Can do a better job.

Surrender doesn't mean that you're giving up or that you want to be controlled.

Through surrender you'll be assured a better outcome.

If you need help with surrender,

Ask the angels to assist you.

Don't worry about how your prayer will get answered.

Let the angels figure out the details.

Be willing to ask for help.

Release tension and the need to control and things will go better.

Simply own your power and you won't have to fight for it.

Deep down you'd like to move into total surrender where all your worries are dissolved and you can simply rest but you're afraid.

Everyone is afraid of surrender.

There is a small parable to share the secret of surrender by Esha.

There was a man very interested in self-knowledge and self-realization so he searched from one master to another to see who could teach him meditation.

Years went by and then someone told him,

If you want to find the being master you have to go to the Himalayas.

Nobody knows exactly where.

You'll have to search for him.

So off he went.

He rode on camels and horses and then by foot.

People said,

Yes we've heard about the old man but nobody knows where exactly you'll find him.

But he's there.

If you search hard enough you're bound to find him.

So the man searched and searched for two years.

He was tired and exhausted but it was intent that he would find this man even if it took his life.

Then one day he saw a small height.

He was so tired that he crawled into it.

He looked in but there was nobody inside.

It looked as if no one had been inside for years.

He fell on the ground.

Out of sheer tiredness he said,

I give up.

He was lying in the sun in the cool breeze of the Himalayas and for the first time he started to feel so blissful.

He had never tasted such bliss.

Suddenly he started feeling full of life.

All thoughts disappeared.

He was transported and for no reason at all because he had not done anything.

Then he became aware that somebody was leaning over him.

He opened his eyes.

A very ancient man was there smiling and said,

So you have come.

Have you something to ask me?

No,

Replied the man.

The old man laughed and asked,

So now you know what meditation is?

Yes,

Said the man.

Just for another moment as we're together,

Breathe in again a long breath into your nose,

Into your belly,

The center of your butt and your chest.

Exhale slowly through your nose and just pause for a moment.

Feel the gratefulness as you breathe a cool air in and letting the warm air in.

Trust in it.

Your body is doing all of this without your control.

It breathes without you getting involved or thinking about it.

Your heart beats and pumps blood without your control.

Your body is this miraculous vehicle,

This beautiful gift that does all of this and it does not need you to do it.

It's doing it every day,

Every moment.

It's keeping you healthy as long as you take care of it,

As long as you give it amazing food and fuel and rest.

Move,

Take deep breaths once in a while and slow down.

That's all it means.

And same with your life.

Just slow down,

Breathe,

Find gratitude,

Find love,

Feel a little courage,

Compassion and it will all be taken care of,

Trust and courage.

As we finish,

Just fill your heart and mind for a moment with gratitude for all that you are,

All that you are inside,

Your magnificent smile,

Your wonderful eyes,

Your kind and generous heart.

And I am deeply grateful for each of you.

Namaste.
