Hi friends,
Kimberly Novacell-Ravarezza here,
The founder of Flourish Meditation.
Thank you for joining me for the next five to ten minutes.
I look forward to sharing this space and this presence with you.
Wherever you are,
Seated or lying down,
Even walking if that feels good right now,
Let yourself land in this moment in your body.
You are here.
If you'd like to,
Go ahead and close your eyes.
Lengthen your spine.
Let your shoulders drop down and back.
That will probably open up your chest across your heart space.
Start to notice your breath moving in and out of your body,
Your belly rising and falling.
Let your breath breathe as it is.
No need to sound or rhythm in any particular way.
Let it come,
Let it go.
Spend a few moments here with your breath,
Just noticing how does your body feel today?
How does your breath feel as it moves through and fuels your body?
How do you feel underneath all of that?
What emotions are most prevalent?
What messages is your mind repeating?
Without any judgment for yourself,
Just notice.
Ask the question.
Give some space for an answer to arise or not.
Imagine a little Thumbelina-sized version of yourself,
Sitting on your shoulder,
A little mini you perched there on your shoulder.
This little you walks over toward your spine,
The base of your skull and begins to climb down as if your spine were a ladder,
One vertebrae at a time.
At the space behind your heart,
This little you steps inward as if through a trapdoor and into a place that is the very essence of you.
What does this place look like?
What does it feel like?
What do you hear?
What's happening all around you?
Take some time to imagine walking through this space or even just sitting and observing what is happening here.
What is here?
What this place is like?
What is this place like?
How does it feel to be here?
What is it that you want to remember about this place after you leave?
Let this image,
This exploration fade away and come back into yourself in this moment.
Come back to your breath.
Use your breath as an anchor.
So once again,
Focus on each inhale,
Each exhale.
You can revisit this place,
This essence of yourself anytime you want to.
Maybe it stays the same.
Maybe it changes.
It's there for you always.
Rub your hands on your thighs or maybe place a hand over your heart.
Any little bit of movement that feels connected and good to you.
You might take a stretch or sway a little from side to side.
Allow for a couple of deep,
Deep breaths.
Fill up and let it go.
Whenever you feel ready,
Open your eyes.
