Allowing yourself to find a comfortable seated position now with a tall straight spine Gently closing the eyes or taking a soft gaze if that feels more comfortable for you placing one hand on the belly the other on your heart as you begin to activate a conscious connected pattern of breathing in through the nose and out through the nose and And as you breathe in Feeling that air go deep into the body Expanding your belly and feeling your belly contract as you exhale Preparing now to anchor in safety to the body This meditation can be done at any time you are feeling activated in your nervous system feeling anxious Anytime things in your life or in the world seem chaotic Like they might be spiraling out of control This can also be done anytime you're wanting to stretch and expand yourself Before making a big decision when you're desiring to call in more money,
Or if you have an important presentation Feeling safe in our bodies is fundamental to our well-being Your body is a resource that you can always come back to to create safety as it is your home When we feel safe free from mental emotional or physical distress It is so much easier to reach homeostasis Allowing us to become more present and live healthier lives mentally emotionally physically and spiritually If you have spent time in a trauma response such as fight-or-flight Or if you have made a habit of dissociating from your body then your body may not feel like a safe space This meditation is designed to help you create an anchor of safety within your body so that it feels like a safe place to be The more you practice cultivating safety The more you practice cultivating safety consciously connecting to the body The safer of a place it will be and the more it can become a resource for you You are invited to return to this meditation daily To really help you connect deeper to and build a stronger relationship with your vessel We're going to start by bringing our attention back to our breath Consciously breathing in and out through the nose Expanding the belly on the inhale and contracting it on the exhale In through the nose Out through the nose And sitting upright with your feet flat on the floor I want you to connect in and feel the surface beneath you Noticing what you feel on the soles of your feet Spreading your toes and connecting them to the floor or the ground I want you to imagine roots coming from the soles of your feet shooting down past the floor past the concrete Past the soil beneath that and straight down down down Straight down down down into the center of the earth Allowing the earth to support you Dropping any anxiety or activation you may be feeling down through those roots And allowing the earth to absorb them Allowing those emotions and nervous energy to be transmuted back into positive source energy Noticing the sense of relief of spaciousness now that they have released from you What does that feel like in your body?
I want you to realize now just how safe you actually are in this moment The energy of the earth's core supporting you The furniture or ground you're sitting on If you are inside noticing the four walls and ceiling that surround you And if you are outside noticing the abundance of air that is there every breath you take To support your lungs keeping you safe You are whole you are complete right now in this very moment Notice how supported you are from a physical standpoint what does that feeling of safety feel like for you?
Where do you notice it in your body?
Allowing that feeling to emanate and expand throughout your entire being Deeply connecting and channeling that energy right down into the earth Channeling that energy right down into your root chakra The chakra of stability security and grounding Bringing awareness to the fact that all of your basic needs are being met right now Giving thanks and appreciation for this safety And channeling that feeling of gratitude from your root up into your heart chakra And allowing it to radiate out from your chest Feeling the love and compassion you have for yourself in this very moment For taking the time to connect with yourself And you can repeat the following either out loud or in your mind's eye I am safe I am grounded I am loved I am supported I am safe I am grounded I am loved I am supported One more time I am safe I am grounded I am loved I am supported Allowing the nervous system to integrate these affirmations at a cellular level Thanking your body for all that it does for you And we will close this meditation with a 4-7-8-9 4-7-8 breath pattern where we inhale for 4,
Hold for 7,
And exhale for 8 Which is going to activate the parasympathetic nervous system Signaling to our bodies that we are truly safe Taking an inhale in 2-3-4 Holding 2-3-4-5-6-7 and exhaling 2-3-4-5-6-7-8 For optimal results I invite you to include this into your daily practice to anchor in safety and facilitate ease throughout your day Thank you for joining me and namaste
