Welcome to this jaw relaxation meditation based on the theme of the ocean.
Reconnecting with our inner ocean,
Our ability to flow with life.
So getting comfortable where you are and tuning in to the surfaces that are supporting you right now.
Right now.
How Mother Earth is holding you at all times.
And just slowing down your breathing.
Breathing into the nose and out of the nose.
And relaxing the edges of your eyes.
Really arriving here in this time that you're gifting yourself.
This moment of self-care.
And then relaxing your jaw as much as you can relax it right now.
There's no pressure in any way.
Just seeing if you can bring some relaxation into your jaw as your breathing is slowing down.
Realising that you are safe here in this moment.
And then picture yourself on a beach right next to a beautiful ocean.
Life is just happening here as life happens.
Maybe there's seagulls,
Maybe there's stones.
And tune into audio-visual right here.
Meaning what are you hearing?
What are you seeing?
And tactile,
What are you feeling with your feet?
Or the air on your skin?
I think we've all been waiting for a moment to just slow down and reconnect to the beauty of this life.
And nothing symbolises that like the ocean.
The majestic waves,
This majestic pool of water.
Which has had its impact on the landscape around it.
Every stone has been polished or shaped.
And then picture yourself slowly step by step as if you were almost going down a ladder.
A ladder that leads straight into the ocean.
Imagine going step by step into the ocean.
Feeling,
Hearing,
Seeing.
Smelling.
Tasting.
Imagine yourself lying back.
Either in the water that is quite shallow at the beginning here.
Or just floating on the water.
Either way you are letting go.
You are trusting,
You are lying back.
You are falling into the peace of these waters.
As they embrace you with all their goodness.
With all their rejuvenation and cleansing power.
And fill out this water washes over your entire body.
And then washes over your jaw.
Surrounding your jaw with this healing goodness.
A goodness,
A healing power that does not try to push anything away but is gently giving light,
Healing,
Relaxation,
Cleansing to this area.
It operates like a candle in the dark.
It's not pushing out the darkness but it's bringing light and with that there is a sense of joy and ease.
A childlike wonder.
The miracles of life.
How when we think we have no more options and we are exhausted.
We can find ourselves finding hope again,
Rejuvenation and light at the end of the tunnel.
Even if we had no idea where it would be coming from.
Life has got our back.
Even if we are running a different story in our head.
Life has got your back.
Life has got my back.
Life has got my back.
And I can let go and relax.
Life has got my back and I can let go and relax.
Breathe in deeply and feel how good that feels to hear those words as you're here in the ocean,
Embraced by the waters.
Life has got my back and I can let go and relax.
Feel into your jaw right now with this lens of letting go and relaxing.
And see if any resistances that are here can be met with this same childlike ease and wonder.

I don't need to be perfect but I know that this healing I deserve.
I have compassion for the parts of me that got tripped up and worried and in resistance to what is here.
That may be pain in the jaw or anything in my life really.
But at the same time I know I can operate with more ease.
Looking at symptoms as opportunities for growth and showing me things that I can learn and grow stronger.
What doesn't kill me does really make me stronger if I let it.
So now just really flowing freely with the water and the waves.
Not expecting anything,
Not having any agenda here.
Just seeing what happens as you surrender to the waves and the water.
This is your time.
You are 70% or more water.
You are reconnecting with a part of yourself.
Rejoining forces.
Reconnecting to your inner waters,
Your flow,
Your adaptability.
And just checking in if there is anything you would like to take with you from today's practice.
And locking that into your heart to be carried forward into your days.
And then slowly bring attention back to where you are.
Maybe wiggling your toes,
Just arriving again in your little world.
Knowing that the ripples of this practice will be felt in your life and the life of all of those around you.
Even if you don't speak about it.
Self-care really is the best way to take care of everyone,
Including yourself.
So just thanking yourself for showing up and being here today.
