Today's practice is a light trance and that just means letting all of that conscious stuff get out of the way so that your unconscious can make changes which align with your unconscious positive intention.
So please feel free to get yourself comfortable now,
Sitting or lying in the way that is most comfortable for you.
Continue to adjust until you're ready to let go now.
So understandings from popular culture might have us associate trance with a deep hypnosis,
Something like sleep,
In which you are highly suggestible and that is one form of trance but not what we're working with today.
Today you might not even notice anything happening or know that you're in trance so you won't become conscious of your unconscious or necessarily feel that you are in a state of trance.
Because of course work that we do at an unconscious level is by definition not something that we'll be consciously aware of.
And the kind of light trance I'd like to invite you into is one where you yourself can send invitations to your unconscious to collaborate with you.
And trance is a natural state,
We go into it regularly and I'll invite you to do that now.
So you can allow yourself to relax and just allow yourself to be supported by whatever you're resting on.
And I don't know how easy that is.
You can notice your breathing.
Just as deep and slow as is right for you.
Right now.
That's right.
And I wonder now if you can place your attention somewhere inside.
And your unconscious is just there.
And today you're just going to invite your unconscious to collaborate with you.
Finding your intention to connect with your unconscious.
And there's a habit or behaviour that you have been doing that you're ready to change now.
So going inside I wonder if you can ask your unconscious.
Ask your unconscious now.
If it knows the purpose or intention behind that behaviour.
So just asking your unconscious.
And you may or may not see or hear or feel the reply from your unconscious.
But just know that your unconscious is listening to you.
And instruct it to find the purpose or intention of this behaviour.
That's right.
And before we go any further it's time to thank your unconscious now for always looking after you.
And for having only positive intentions.
Sending thanks inwards to your unconscious and receiving those thanks within.
And all the time you're breathing is just as deep and slow as is right for you.
In touch with your unconscious now.
And I wonder if you can inform your unconscious.
Just send a message.
That this behaviour you've been doing up until now is no longer what you want.
You know this now.
And you can.
Ask your unconscious now if it's willing to begin to generate two or three or even more.
More appropriate behaviours.
To fulfil that positive intention.
And if you're willing to do that now.
And I wonder just how easily you can begin to generate those new behaviours.
And you can ask your unconscious if you're ready now.
To begin to adopt those new behaviours.
In the place of the old one which no longer serves.
And whether your unconscious is ready to do that now.
Or today.
Or straight after this session.
You don't really need to know.
You don't need to know that you can choose any of these new behaviours.
And I wonder which one will you choose first?
Trusting your unconscious.
And once again there inside giving thanks to your unconscious for all that you do.
And then leaving that process to complete itself now.
Knowing you don't even have to.
Do anything differently to fulfil that positive intention.
The work is complete for today and it's time to come out now.
As you start to become consciously aware once again of my voice.
And come back to the sound of my voice.
And the sounds around you in the room.
Noticing your surroundings once again.
Noticing your posture,
How you're seated or lying.
Noticing any sensations.
And letting yourself have a little wiggle or to shift your position if that's what you need for now.
And when you're ready you can open your eyes.
