So this week we're doing a giving and receiving check.

So this is a spread based off the Six of Pentacles card and so there are six positions and it's all about just checking in with what you're giving and what you're receiving.

So the top three positions are about giving.

So the first position is about what are you giving at this moment and it is what you are giving.

It's not what you should be giving or what you want to be giving or what you think you're giving.

It's what are you giving.

So what are you sending out?

What are you giving?

It can be on a material level,

Can be on an energetic level,

Can be on a an emotional level or a relational level.

What are you giving at the moment?

And then the second position really just to complement that is in what context is this the strongest?

So what is the context where you're really giving that particular energy?

Because we give different energies in different contexts and we can be giving lots of different energies at the same time.

And then the third position is to what purpose?

So you know what is the purpose?

Conscious,

Unconscious,

Unknown or unseen of this.

So when I say conscious purpose I mean you might be giving out a particular energy or giving something with a specific goal in mind but you may also or instead you may be unconsciously motivated to be giving a particular energy at a time.

And then also there may be some other purpose which you do not know consciously or unconsciously the purpose of the universe.

So there's room for all three of those interpretations in this position.

And then underneath the same three positions but this time for what you're receiving.

So what are you receiving right now?

Again not what you want to receive or what you deserve to receive but what are you receiving?

Because sometimes they're not the same thing.

And again in which context is this the strongest and to what purpose?

The deck I'm using today is the Gentle Tarot by Marie in the Sky and it's a really really lovely beautiful tarot as I'm sure you will agree.

So please take a deep breath,

Go inside and just ask to receive what you need.

And if there is something specific that you're working with or working through at the moment then you might bring that to mind and again ask to receive whatever insight you need in that particular context.

So what are you giving this week?

And we've got the Ace of Wands.

Look at that.

So this is a really wonderful energy to be sharing.

It is an energy.

The Wands is about energy.

It's about inspiration,

Creativity and look at this.

The hand of the universe reaches out with a wand of sacred herbs.

So how cool is that?

So at the moment what you are giving is that you are inspiring people around you.

You might be giving motivation or movement that spark of.

.

.

The Ace of Wands is often a kind of spark of inspiration and when it comes up sometimes I say you know we have the spark of inspiration but we have to then put in the work to make that happen,

To manifest it.

But in this context of what you're giving out it's really wonderful because you know perhaps you're giving inspirational motivation to those around you and what a wonderful wonderful thing to be doing and just have a look at that beautiful card and I love the depth of the universe there.

Also giving so you know this is what you're giving but also what is the universe giving all of us through you and it's the Ace of Wands.

So inspiration,

Motivation,

Excitement maybe.

So there we go.

What are you giving?

The Ace of Wands.

And then in what context is this the strongest?

So where are you really sort of giving out this energy,

This wonderful energy that you're bringing into any room that you walk into at the moment?

And we have the Eight of Cups which is a really,

It's a really interesting pairing of these two cards.

So the Eight of Cups.

Cups is about the heart,

The emotions and the Eight of Cups is often about walking away and you can see here this figure has their back to us and is actually stepping over the cups that are across their path and they have chosen a cup to drink and to take with them to sustain them and they're walking off into the sunset or the sunrise.

So this card's about walking away but it's also about walking your path.

You don't walk away from something without walking towards something else whatever that is even if it's something very different.

So this card is about both walking away from and walking into or walking towards and what that really means is that it's about walking your path because you don't walk your path by staying in the same place,

In the same position in life.

You must keep moving,

That's part of the journey of life.

And so in the context of this,

What are you giving Ace of Wands,

In what context Eight of Cups,

It may be that you at the moment are playing a role in which you are moving through.

So you're not sort of,

You're not turning up to stay and you're not necessarily staying where you've been but you're moving through and you're bringing with you this inspirational energy.

And so it's a really lovely message to receive because what it means is that as you interact with others and the spaces and places that you interact with and all your practices,

You are bringing this kind of almost like a breath of fresh air.

And I love this Eight of Cups because the figure has chosen a cup to take with them and so they are sustaining themselves.

So we have this Ace of Wands energy that you're bringing as you move through and you're sustaining yourself emotionally in the heart.

And part of that choice of how you sustain yourself is about choosing which cups to step over and which to take with you and you can't take them all.

So we have the Ace of Wands and the Eight of Cups.

And then finally,

To what purpose,

What is the purpose of you coming through places and spaces and relationships or iterations of relationships temporarily and sharing this spark of inspiration,

Of universal connectedness which we saw there in the Ace of Wands.

What's the purpose of this?

And we get the Empress.

So this is another beautiful card.

I think I'm going to say that about every card that I draw knowing this deck.

And the Empress is a major arcana.

So these cards are often about life lessons,

Spiritual connections,

Spiritual lessons,

Where we are on our spiritual path.

And so the Empress is a lovely card to have especially with those other two.

It is about earth connection,

Embodiment,

Being present on this earth and in this time.

It's also about sensuality and sexuality,

Femininity in as far as femininity is available to all of us.

And we choose how we interact with that,

Each of us.

And nurturing.

And one of the key messages of the Empress is that we nurture ourselves as well as others.

So very important,

I think,

In this context of giving.

You know,

If we're giving nurture to lots of other people,

That doesn't work for very long if we're not nurturing ourselves.

But what this card is saying is that having this opportunity this week to move through spaces,

Places and relationships and just bring this spark of inspiration,

Of connectedness,

Is something that is very nurturing for you and for those around you.

So what a wonderful way to be this week.

Okay,

So let's go into receiving.

What are you receiving this week?

It's another major Arcana card and it's the Lovers.

And look at that beautiful card.

So we've got the Sun very prominent here in two of the three cards that came up for giving.

And then we have the,

Well I don't know if that's the Moon or the Sun actually up there.

It could be either,

Couldn't it?

Shining down on these Lovers who are sitting beneath it.

And so the Lovers can be about loving energy and loving relationships,

Romantic or otherwise.

And it can also be about our relationship with ourselves and our relationship with our values and our choices.

But it is a major Arcana card.

So,

You know,

By expressing this wonderful energy,

This inspirational energy in all the places you go this week,

Which is a very nurturing practice for you and for others,

You're also tapping into this love of the universe for you.

You're tapping into opportunities for self-love and also to receive love.

And you're tapping into opportunities to connect with your higher values,

With the things that are important for you.

And this really is an invitation to make choices that are in alignment with your higher values.

And that is a gift that you're receiving this week.

So take that invitation seriously.

Okay,

So then in what context are you most receiving this Lovers energy this week?

And we get the Six of Thunder.

Look at that.

And it's such a beautiful card.

You've got someone there riding on a whale through a rainbow space.

And the Six of Thunder is about journeying and transition.

So in the Daily Tarot ritual,

The meditation that I have for this card is a drum journey.

Because the Six of Thunder,

Sometimes known as the Six of Swords,

Is a card that facilitates transition,

Moving from one state to another.

And just notice that it's underneath this Eight of Cups.

So in the giving you have this sort of Eight of Cups sense of movement through.

And here in receiving you have this Six of Thunder sense of being able to move from one state to another.

So very much this week,

There is something magical,

Something powerful,

Something beautiful and real gifts in the temporary and the things that we move through and move between rather than getting stuck in,

Well,

Stuck in anything,

Whether it's an identity or a situation or a behavior.

That's not where the grace is this week.

The grace is in movement,

In movement through and movement between.

And this is where you access that sort of loving energy,

That lover's energy of the universe and the opportunity to connect with your higher values.

And here we do have another disc.

And I think I'm going to say a moon disc,

But again,

Like in that lover's card,

It's not clear.

It could also be a sun disc.

But I think what we've got is solar energy up here and lunar energy down here,

Which is a really nice balance as well.

And then finally,

To what purpose this loving energy in the context of,

Or this lover's energy in the context of transition.

And we get the Nine of Cups.

Look at this for a Nine of Cups.

It's beautiful.

There's another rainbow in there as we had in the Six of Thunder.

And it is raining and also sunny at the same time on this scene where we have a figure who is relaxing in a meadow and really enjoying the peace and the beauty of that meadow.

So what we have in the Nine of Cups,

It's a card of the being plenty.

It's a card of fulfillment,

Especially emotional fulfillment,

Being a Nine of Cups card.

And it's a card of joy.

And I think in the position that it's in,

To what purpose receiving this lover's energy?

And it's a very,

Very clear answer there,

Isn't it?

For pleasure,

For joy.

And we often get caught up in what is a purpose that is worthy of me or that I should be doing or whatever it is.

But actually here is a very,

Very clear message that joy,

Pleasure,

Enjoying where you are in the moment is absolutely a purpose,

A valid purpose and a purpose towards which lover's energy is available to you at the moment.

So that's our reading for the week.

I'll give you a quick summary.

So what you're giving we have Ace of Wands.

In what context?

The Eight of Cups.

And to what purpose?

The Empress.

And then what you're receiving,

The lovers.

In what context?

The Six of Thunder,

Sometimes the Six of Swords.

And to what purpose?

The Nine of Cups.

So what we have here is a beautiful,

Beautiful invitation to move through,

To not get stuck,

But actually with these cards here,

Be okay about moving through and just being at the point where you are now on your path.

Enjoying it.

Sending out inspiration.

You are sending out inspiration whether you like it or not.

It's always nice to know though,

Isn't it?

Receiving opportunities to connect with love in all its many forms and also with your own values and making choices with your own values.

And then the purposes that you're invited to align with this week are about nurturing yourself and others and also just joy,

Experience some joy and appreciate that this is a divine purpose and this is a wonderful purpose.

So thank you very much for joining me and I wish you a very joyful,

Very nurtured week ahead.

Much love.
