Hello and thank you for taking this moment for yourself.

Today we will explore the calming practice of Kshetali Pranayama,

A cooling breath technique that not only refreshes the body but also soothes the mind.

Kshetali,

Which means to cool in Sanskrit,

Works by drawing in air through the gaps of the teeth,

Helping to lower the body temperature,

Reduce stress and create a sense of inner peace.

Let's begin our journey together.

First find your comfortable seated position.

This can be either cross-legged,

On your knees or maybe on a chair.

You can just let your wrists rest relaxedly on your knees,

On your lap and if it feels right for you,

You can choose to either close your eyes or bring the focus on a point in front of you.

And then,

Together,

Let's take a deep inhalation through the nose and sighing it out through the mouth.

Bring some more softness in our shoulders,

In our hips,

In our arms and legs.

Bring some more softness in our forehead,

In our jaw.

And letting your tongue lay relaxed in our mouth.

And then,

Very gently,

We are going to bring our teeth together and gently opening our lips.

And on the next inhalation,

Very slowly,

We are going to inhale through the gaps of the teeth.

And exhaling very slowly through the nose.

We are going to do that two more times.

Inhaling through the gaps of the teeth and exhaling slowly through the nose,

Gaps of the teeth and exhaling through the nose.

And gently coming back to your natural breathing,

Taking a moment here to feel into the sensations that this breathing technique might have created within our body.

Maybe you noticed,

While breathing in through the teeth,

Already an instant cooling sensation in your throat,

In your lungs.

Maybe you might notice some more calm,

Some more softness.

And we practiced this pranayama three times,

So feel free,

After this meditation,

To repeat this breathing technique,

Maybe a few more rounds.

And afterwards,

Taking a moment to feel into the effects.

Thank you for joining me today for this pranayama session.

I wish you serenity,

Balance and boundless inner peace,

From my heart to yours.
