Welcome to this precious pause.

This time to rest.

This time for you to be you.

The perfectness of you just as you are in this very moment.

Find your way into a position in which you feel most at ease.

Maybe seated on a chair,

A cushion,

Maybe lying on the ground and I invite you to close your eyes.

Soften your face,

For this is your time.

Bring to mind a sankalpa for today's practice.

Maybe an intention to rest.

Re-align,

Restore back to the essence of you.

These few precious moments to step away from the motions of the day and return to a place of peace within.

Allow your body to settle into its space.

This space which you have chosen to sweetly reside within during this pause.

Feel the sensation of the air against your skin as it surrounds and nourishes your being with its life force.

Notice your natural breath,

Its rhythm,

Its movement as it instinctively flows and cycles between you and the space around.

Feel its richness as the tempo relaxes and slows.

Settle into resting vibrations.

Draw attention to the sensation of your next inhalation.

Feeling that cool active brush up your nasal passage.

How it contrasts with the passive warm caress of air past the very tip of your nose as you exhale.

The freshness rising upwards followed by the calm softening downwards.

Lifting up,

Releasing down,

Rising and falling.

Let the air at the very top of the breath hover in suspension as the flow of life assimilates around the body.

Let the tail of the exhale settle at the very bottom finding peace in the stillness.

No need to rush on to the next thing.

These precious pauses just as important as the active breaths between.

A sacred stillness in which to listen,

Observe and embody the art of simply being.

Four points to each cycle of breath.

Allow them time.

Allow them space as they sustain and support you every second of your day and night.

Welcome any thoughts that may enter into this space with loving acknowledgement.

Reassure any emotions they may bring that they are heard,

They are held but you do not need to enter into a conversation with them right now.

Let your thoughts be free flowing through and out of your space dissipating into the vastness of the sky beyond.

For right now you are resting into the place of peace within that is always there and always available to you.

This is your precious pause for you to be you.

The perfectness of you just as you are in this very moment.

And when the time feels right for you bring your awareness back to the space around.

The sensations of touch,

Sound,

Smell,

Taste.

Know that as you step forth into the rest of the day that you always have access to this peace within.

It is always there unchanging,

Perfect and safe within you.

Have a beautiful day and thank you for letting me be your guide for these precious moments.
