Thank you for joining and taking the time for yourself,
Allowing a moment to get comfortable and support yourself.
If you're seated,
Making sure that your bones,
Your vertebrae are stacked one on top of the other.
Perhaps you're laying down,
You put a pillow under your knees,
Under your neck.
And throughout this meditation,
We'll be exploring how we can use the four elements of nature to relax.
If at any point the cues aren't feeling supportive,
Just follow something that feels anchoring for you.
Just the breath or the sensation in the body.
Together we'll begin with three cleansing deep breaths in through the nose,
A gentle sigh letting it go.
Two more.
Inhaling through the nose.
Exhale letting it go.
Last one,
Inhaling through the nose.
Exhale sighing it out.
Perhaps coming into that ujjayi breath,
Sealed lips,
Gentle wave-like sound at the back of the throat.
Inhaling and exhaling through the nostrils.
Realizing the body,
What parts of the body are making contact with the ground.
Using your mind's eye,
Take yourself to somewhere in nature.
It can be a place you've been before,
A place you've never been.
Imagining if you could just transport yourself to lay or sit in it.
On this specific day,
There happens to be nobody in your spot.
No need to worry about someone walking into your space just enjoying the emptiness and the spaciousness.
Noticing what the ground is that you sit on or lay on.
Is it a rock or is it soil?
Grass?
Water?
It's like cold or warm.
What is the texture of the ground like?
Is it smooth and dense?
Allowing your body to sink into the floor,
Into the ground.
Feeling earth's support.
Allowing the bones,
The joints to get heavy.
Just like a hug.
And then keeping the eyes closed and staying in this imaginary place.
Is it sunny and cloudy?
What does the air feel like on your skin?
Is it cold?
Warm?
Is the air humid or dry?
Noticing what the air smells like.
Imagining what kind of plants are in your place.
Is there a dense smell of the soil?
Maybe the smell of lavender or a certain kind of tree.
Maybe it just rained and there's a certain kind of smell.
Feeling the pores on your body and how they receive the air.
Noticing any sounds that live in the air.
Maybe birds.
Maybe the wind blowing through a tree.
Maybe crickets.
And staying in this place,
Tuning into the energy of water.
Maybe you aren't necessarily at a river or the ocean.
Maybe you are just imagining any forms of water in your place.
Maybe there's dew in the trees or the grass.
Maybe there's a small puddle.
Maybe you are back by the ocean.
Noticing the sound of the water.
Noticing how the body responds to water.
Knowing that the body is made up mostly of water.
Tuning into the water in the cells of your own body.
Feeling the fluidness,
Energy moving in your body.
And then shifting.
Noticing the totality of the space that you're in.
The earth beneath you.
The air.
The sunlight.
The sounds.
The wind.
The animals.
The plants.
The water.
And your body.
Allowing your mind's eye to bask in this special place for one more moment.
Allowing magic to surface.
Maybe witnessing a sunset in this place.
Or maybe noticing an animal.
Allowing yourself to feel deep connection to this place.
Feel unconditional support.
Gently coming back to our space together.
Noticing the body.
Any shifts in the mind.
And then gently waking the body with a couple deep breaths in and out.
I hope you have a beautiful day.
Thanks for joining.
