When you're a caregiver, your cup of love can get dry and empty. It is important to give back to you, without seeking outside comfort from food or addictions.

Hello,

This is Carrie Logan at Empowered Within.

Get yourself in that nice,

Comfortable position,

Closing your eyes and follow the flow of your breath.

Just let it be.

Knowing each time the air flows out,

There's a pause of relaxation,

Like a river,

A river flowing as the air flows out.

Allowing each exhalation to still the mind as you allow the ego to fade into the background,

And going into silence.

Just breathing.

By observing the breath.

No need to control it.

Surrender and trust the experience of breathing.

As all the physical and emotional boundaries dissolve into nothing.

And soon,

Spontaneous breathing awakens.

As you,

Dear one,

Become inspired by spirit.

And you can feel that spirit is breathing you.

And it feels good to be carried along,

Floating along air currents,

Giving thanks for the gift of breath.

Appreciation and gratitude.

And focusing on your heart.

Your heart enfolds the wisdom.

And in that heart center,

You are safe and secure.

Loved and adored.

And within this place,

It's time to give back to me.

Time to love and support me.

As if I am filling my own cup of love.

So in this place,

Affirm the following.

My body is a miracle.

The bodies of the people I care for are also miracles.

Our bodies know how to handle emergencies.

And they know how to rest and replenish themselves.

We are all learning to listen to our bodies.

And to give our bodies what they need.

Therefore,

I understand that caring for others can be overwhelming at times.

It is more than what I anticipated at times.

In this place in my heart,

I now learn to ask for help.

Whether I am a caregiver or a care receiver,

Loving myself is one of the most important things I can do.

When I truly love and accept myself exactly as I am,

It is as though I shift gears on some level.

Suddenly,

I can relax and know deep in my heart that all is well.

I take care of myself the best I can.

I am a shining light.

I am a shining light.

I am a shining light.

And my cup is filling and flowing over with love.

And now that this meditation has come to an end,

When you are ready,

You can bring yourself back into this room.

When you are ready,

You can open your eyes fully present in your body,

Feeling wonderful.

Knowing as you go through your day,

You will shine your light.

Therefor we are complete.

And this is so.

Thank you, thank you and thank you! I share caregiving duties for my beautiful 80 year Mom. And some days are more challenging than others despite my good intentions and her gallant efforts coping with her illness. Yesterday was one of those days. Listening to this meditation reminds me of the importance of taking care of me so I can take better care of her when she is not at her best. Bottom line will never change no matter what: I am blessed to have a wonderful, loving Mom . I will always love, care, support and honor her. This meditation makes it easier. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️

Content excellent but technically there is a rhythmic sound I found distracting to the process of fully relaxing into it.
