The pathless path to the ever present one.

Now just as with every guided meditation,

For your safety,

Please do not listen to this recording while driving or operating machinery.

You can choose to use headphones or not,

Whatever you prefer.

Now start by finding a comfortable position now.

And for this meditation,

Find a comfortable place to sit and relax.

And you can allow your body to adjust until you begin to relax.

Now you can begin to notice your breathing.

Notice the feeling of breathing,

Your chest rising and falling.

And take a quick scan around your body,

Simply noticing whatever you're experiencing,

Just allowing yourself to become calm,

To become centered,

And to start slowing down.

Now the interesting thing about meditation is that it is a path to somewhere you've never left.

Some call it the pathless path.

Others simply say that silence is the way.

But whatever you wanna call it,

It just doesn't matter.

Because no matter how much you learn about it,

No matter how many books you read,

Videos you watch,

Or audios you listen to,

Nothing will teach you except your own direct experience.

Now take a few more deep,

Slow breaths,

Allowing yourself to inhale and exhale slowly.

Any sounds that you hear around you,

Any sounds that you hear in your head,

Any sounds within this recording,

Anything that you experience,

Simply allow it to become part of your meditation.

And as you continue to take those slow,

Deep breaths,

Releasing any concerns,

Worries of the day,

Beginning to release all stress and become more relaxed,

And now you can even let go of your concerns for even understanding this meditation or for getting it right.

Because you're simply letting go and allowing everything to be replaced with a growing sense of peace,

Relaxation,

And utter contentment.

Now,

I invite you to notice that you are having an experience,

But let's look more closely,

Look a bit more deeply at that statement.

Because in that statement,

There's an implication that there is a difference between you and your experience.

But can this division be found?

Let's take a look.

And as you set aside all preconceived ideas,

Set aside all things that you have learned up until now,

And even setting aside everything that you've learned in this course,

Just look.

What do you notice in your direct experience?

Now,

Let's start by looking at the most basic aspects.

But before we do,

Let's make sure that we become very still,

Become very quiet for a moment.

Just relaxing,

Breathing,

And being still.

And let's take a moment to notice that there's a difference between you and your experience.

Now,

Open your eyes,

And just notice whatever is around you.

Just observing.

Not reacting,

Not judging,

Not analyzing,

Not trying to change anything.

You're just seeing.

And as you're doing that,

Ponder this question.

Can you find yourself with your eyes?

Now keep in mind,

You are not your body.

You see many things,

But who is it that is seen?

Any answer that your mind gives is not you.

You hear things,

But who is the one hearing?

Any thoughts you have is not you.

Where are these thoughts arising from?

Don't answer with your mind,

Just notice.

And as you do that,

Remember to keep staying relaxed,

Stay calm,

Stay focused,

And still.

And as we continue here,

Keep letting go,

Keep relaxing,

And just notice.

And as you're doing that,

You may feel different sensations in your body.

You may feel emotions,

But who is it that is experiencing those sensations?

Can this one be found?

Now,

You can keep your mind quiet as you simply observe for yourself,

Because there just seems to be this presence here,

This witnessing presence that itself cannot be witnessed.

It's this presence that allows everything to be perceived.

Now imagine for a moment that you're sitting in a beautiful garden.

It's the perfect day out,

Just the temperature that you like,

The wind feels just the way you want it to,

And you just feel utterly content and feel happy inside.

And now in this garden,

There are many flowers,

There's some grass nearby,

Bright,

Healthy green grass.

There are sounds you can hear.

Now,

As you're sitting there,

You notice a red rose,

And you begin to notice that this rose is very healthy.

The red color is vibrant and alive.

And as you take a moment to really see that rose,

You may even begin to think that this is the most perfect rose that you've ever seen.

Now,

As you're looking at that rose,

I invite you to notice who is it that makes the rose red?

Who is necessary in order for that beautiful rose to be seen at all?

Just notice who that is.

Be that presence.

And I'll give you a hint.

You already are that presence.

And as you're doing that,

I want you to also notice who is it that imagined that garden?

Where can that witnessing presence be found?

The interesting thing is that you cannot find the self,

You can only be yourself.

Because just like fish that have lived their entire lives in water,

We too live our entire lives within our own awareness.

An unchanging awareness in which all change occurs.

Because we often think many things about who we are.

We grow,

We change from age to age,

Our bodies change,

Our ideas change,

Our friends and loved ones change.

Each day,

Every moment,

Everything is moving and changing.

But something is remaining the same.

What is that something?

Now again,

Don't answer with your memory.

Your memory cannot show you what you are.

And now I want you to let go of all of these questions and just remain completely still.

And consider what someone once said about the voice of God.

They said that the voice of God is silence.

So for the next 30 seconds or so,

Just allow yourself to remain still and remain silent.

Now it's time to open your eyes.

Notice your breathing again.

And it's time for this meditation to end.

But as it ends,

You can carry this relaxation with you as you go about your day today.

And as you go about your day,

Remember to keep your awareness on who is having your experience.

Who is having the thoughts you think?

Who is driving?

Who is walking?

Who is breathing?

Who is feeling?

From time to time,

There's no need to force any answers.

Don't do this intellectually.

It's not a quiz.

Just simply notice what's there,

Fresh in the present moment.

And I also invite you to notice that you can find this peace and have this relaxation anytime that you're willing to just let go and let things be and breathe.

So have a peaceful and mindful day today and I will see you next time.

I love this. It poses the right questions while you're in a deeply relaxed state. I think it's pretty effective at helping you find that "I AM." Receiving the message in this state makes all the difference. Thank you!
