Hi,
My name is Kay and today we are practicing a meditation for self-love.
Let's close our eyes in a comfortable position.
You may choose to sit,
Lie down or lean against any surface that is comfortable for you.
But if sitting in a chair,
Have your feet planted on the floor,
Keep your back,
Your spine long,
Tall,
Balanced and feel free to rest your arms,
Your palms,
Wherever feels comfortable for you.
Now let's start by bringing our attention to the breath,
Our beautiful breath and its sensations.
Feel the breath traveling through all parts of your body and acting as an anchor,
Grounding you in this present moment.
Now gently bring your attention to the top of your head.
Scan down through each part of your body,
Noticing any areas of discomfort or unease while at the same time being grateful for this physical apparatus,
For this physical vessel that allows you to experience this existence regardless of discomfort or even perception or imperfection.
Breathe love and acceptance through all cells of your body,
Recognizing your body's inherent value.
Now visualize yourself in front of a mirror.
Looking into your own eyes.
As you gaze into reflection,
See beyond the surface into the essence of who you are.
Recognize the strength resilience and the beauty within you.
Now imagine yourself.
Send love and compassion from your heart to your reflection in the mirror.
Visualize this love as a warm and gentle light enveloping you and filling you with acceptance and peace.
Feel this love for yourself growing stronger.
Acknowledging your worth,
Your efforts,
And your inherent value.
Feel this energy surrounding you for a moment.
Savor every minute of this energy.
And when you're ready,
Slowly bring your awareness to where you are.
Feeling the surface beneath you and feeling the sound in the place,
The room you are at.
Wiggling your fingers and toes and gently open your eyes.
This meditation was made to cultivate,
To nurture our self-love so that we can grow strong in our resilience and emotional well-being.
Thank you for joining me today.
Namaste.
