Hello,

This is Kelly Mackin.

Welcome to this stress releasing and relaxation meditation.

We are going to do a breathing technique that you can use as a tool in your day whenever you are feeling stressed and you just want to shift into a more relaxed state.

My meditation teacher David G.

Taught me this simple breathing technique using the infinity symbol.

We are going to focus our attention in our meditation on our breath in the shape of an infinity sign as we breathe in and breathe out.

You'll notice if you take a normal breath that there is a small little break between your inhale and your exhale and your exhale and your inhale.

With our infinity breath we want to smooth out that breathing so there are no gaps and no breaks and it's just a continuous flowing breath.

Get in a comfortable position.

Take a slow deep inhale through the nose and on the exhale close your eyes.

Let's go inward.

Let's take a few slow deep conscious breaths.

Feel that gentle flow of air coming in and coming out of your body.

Follow the breath all the way in and all the way out.

Take a long slow deep inhale through the nose.

Feel your belly expand and the breath travel up your spine and a big exhale out the mouth let it go.

Find your way back to a natural comfortable rhythm with your breath.

Let the past fade away.

Let the future fade away.

Feel yourself fully arrive in this moment connecting your body to your breath.

There is nowhere else to be.

Nothing else you should be doing and being fully here in this precious present moment.

Right here,

Right now.

You can drop any concerns,

Any stress or worry like dropping down a heavy bag.

Allow your body to sink deeper into the surface it's touching and just fully relax.

Relax your temples.

Relax your forehead.

Relax your eyelids.

Relax your jaw and your tongue releasing it from the roof of your mouth.

Relax your shoulders letting them melt from your ears.

Allow your arms to simply rest by your side.

Feel your body supported underneath you.

Feel your thoughts slowing and your mind quieting.

With every breath feel yourself relaxing deeper any stress dissipating surrendering more fully to the moment.

Slowing,

Surrendering,

Slowing and surrendering.

Begin to imagine your breath moving along an infinity sign.

Inhaling and exhaling out the nose.

Smooth out your breath to that continuous flowing breath.

The inhale smoothly moves into the exhale and the exhale smoothly transitions into the inhale.

Just watch your breath move through that infinity sign.

When your mind wanders off during your meditation as it inevitably will,

Just notice that you have wandered and gently come back to this continuous infinity breath.

Begin to bring some movement back into your body.

Driving back into the room.

Take a deep inhale and a relaxing audible exhale and gently open your eyes.

You can come back to this infinity breath anytime in your day when you're feeling stressed and you want to calm your mind and relax.

Thank you for going inward with me today.
