Hi there,

It's Kelly here and today I want to share with you an active meditation using mindful tapping for body love and acceptance.

It's very easy for us to take our bodies for granted or to feel a sense of disappointment in them or loathing and that's what's inspired this meditation today.

That despite everything,

Just for today we can give our bodies some love and acceptance.

So if you'd like to start by placing your hands gently over your heart,

One over the other and closing your eyes.

And we're going to take some nice breaths in and out and we're going to make the out breath longer than the in breath.

And our body is actually wired to our breathing and in particular our vagus nerve will respond to this longer out breath allowing us to feel calm and relaxed.

So just make that out breath slightly longer than your in breath.

And as you connect to your own heart energy,

Start to cultivate a feeling of love and acceptance to your body to where you are today.

Recognising it's got you through all the days and months and years until today.

And it deserves some love and appreciation.

Even if we're not happy with our current state of where our body is,

Whether it's through health or whether we're not as fit as we'd like to be or for some other reason,

Just for now we're going to give our body all the love and acceptance it needs.

So now taking one of your hands up to the very top of your head,

Your crown and either gently tapping or just holding that crown point with a slight pressure through the fingers.

And then saying to yourself,

I love and accept my body just the way it is today.

Now take a nice deep breath in and out.

And slowly move your hand down to the centre of your forehead,

The third eye point,

Either tapping or holding.

I release anything that's blocking me from loving and accepting my body the way it is today.

Now taking a nice breath in and out.

And gently moving across to the very corner of your eyebrow,

The edge nearest your nose.

Again,

Either holding or tapping.

I love and accept my body.

I appreciate my body.

Nice breath in and out.

And as you're saying these words,

Start to cultivate the feeling that goes with them.

Now move your finger along your eyebrow and down to the very corner of the outside edge of your eye.

Either tapping or holding.

I am grateful for my body,

For all the things it does for me each and every day.

And I love and accept my body just as it is here today.

Taking a nice breath in and out.

Now draw your finger down under your eye,

Staying on the eye socket bone until it's directly under where your pupil would be if you were looking straight ahead with your eyes open.

Gently and lightly tapping or holding that point.

Just for today,

I love and accept my body as it is and I am grateful for my body and all it does for me.

Nice breath in and out.

And now bringing your finger down to just under your nose and above your top lip.

I feel a deep sense of love and acceptance for my body here today.

And as you tap this in knowing that just because you're loving and accepting your body here doesn't mean that you can't make changes in your life to help yourself become more healthier or maybe you need to rest and recuperate.

And that's all part of loving your body.

Nice breath in and out.

And then gently bringing your finger down to the middle of your chin,

Just where the dimple is.

Either tapping or holding.

I accept and love my body just as it is here today and I thank my body for everything it does for me.

Nice breath in and out.

And now we're coming down onto the collarbone and we're tapping the collarbone so that we're actually catching the end nodule of the collarbone.

You've got one either side just below your throat.

As part of loving and accepting my body I pledge to look after my body however it needs that.

Whether it be through rest or maybe doing more exercise or feeding it better.

I love my body.

I look after my body.

Nice breath in and out.

And now we're going to tap on our thumb on the very outside edge of the nail bed at the bottom of the nail bed on your thumb either side,

Either hand rather.

So if you're tapping on your left hand you'll be tapping on the right side of the nail bed at the bottom and if you're tapping on your right hand you'll be tapping on the left side.

As part of loving and accepting my body I care for it in just the way it needs.

Nice breath in and out.

Now move on to your first finger and we're tapping on exactly the same bit of the outside edge of the nail.

I love and accept my body.

I treasure my body and I look after it.

Nice breath in and out.

Moving on to the middle finger tapping the same part of the nail at the bottom of the nail bed.

As part of loving my body I have the motivation and the energy to do what's needed to look after my body.

Nice breath in and out.

Moving on to your ring finger.

I have all the energy and love I need to look after my body in whatever way it needs it.

Nice breath in and out.

As we move on to tapping or holding the little finger at the base of the nail bed I release anything that has been blocking me from loving and looking after my body.

Nice breath in and out.

And now we're going down the outside edge of the back of the hand and we're going to do a karate chop motion halfway down the back of the hand.

I have everything I need,

The energy and the motivation to look after my body in a loving way.

And I love and I'm grateful for my body.

Nice breath in and out.

And then gently bringing your hands back over your heart let's take some more nice breaths in and out here.

And see yourself sitting or laying in a very beautiful place,

Maybe a place of nature.

Breathing in beautiful energy and breathing it out and down through your body.

And really feeling this sense of love and appreciation.

Allowing every cell of your being now to be bathed in love,

Appreciation,

Gratitude.

Recognizing that we only have one body and it's important to look after it and be in tune with it.

We make so many demands of our bodies each and every day.

Spend some time just feeling that sense of thankfulness.

Now ask yourself the question how are you going to love your body today?

Let the thought float up into your mind.

Now you might need to do this tapping round a couple more times or you can come back and visit it on another day.

But thank you for joining me and for loving your body.

And relax your hands now back down and have a little shake of your shoulders.

Maybe turn your head gently from left to right before fully opening your eyes and coming all the way back.

Feeling thankful,

Feeling love as you go on with your day.

Sending you blessings and gratitude for being here.

Namaste.

Namaste.
