We are emotional beings yet many of us spend a lot of time trying to avoid and escape the very emotions that when felt can be the doorways to our personal freedom. This guided meditation is an invitation to experiencing the value of our emotions and the wisdom that leads you from within. Shift from frustration and resistance into a place of deeper acceptance and peace within.

Breathe.

Be well.

Activate the leader within.

Take a moment just to settle your body in.

And just take a deep inhale in.

Pause at the top.

And then release your breath.

And just allow your breath to flow in and out in its own natural rhythm.

We are emotional beings.

And in our life we experience many emotions.

So many of us push them down and suppress them because we learn from an early age that they're not okay to express.

It's not safe to express our emotions.

And so this experience is really allowing space for any emotion to be felt,

To be experienced,

To be given space,

And to drop inside the inquiry of what it is actually telling us.

What if our emotions are our body's way of speaking to us?

And what if by directly experiencing these emotions,

Giving them space,

Allowing them to have room in our body,

What if there are messages underneath them so we can actually start to understand the needs underneath them?

So just take a moment and drop down inside your heart space.

And just breathe.

Just allowing that breath to move in and out.

Coming down into your body.

What is an emotion that's come up?

And just like an alarm you've gone to shut it down or push it away or to numb it,

There's an invitation here in this moment now to simply drop down inside of it.

So track back to an event or an experience that has had an emotional charge to it,

An emotion that you would normally make wrong or resist and let go for a moment and just drop into that emotion.

Notice what happens to your body in this time here and now in this container you are safe to feel.

Just allow yourself to feel and see what happens when you get curious about this emotion,

What happens when you get breath into that space where the emotion sits.

And as you breathe,

Give it room.

Just notice any thoughts coming up around that emotion.

Become the observer of those thoughts.

And if you were to ask the emotion what it needs to say,

Allow it to have a voice.

And as you breathe,

Allow it to speak through you.

What is the need underneath the emotion?

What is the need that's not being met?

It's creating this voice.

What is the truth not being spoken in your life?

And perhaps this emotion keeps showing up simply as a messenger.

What if our emotions are simply giving us messages?

And sometimes they allow us to look at past traumas and to work and release those.

They don't continue to reoccur.

And sometimes perhaps they're letting us know the parts in our life that we're not looking at,

That we're bypassing.

So what happens when we just experience?

When we just allow?

What happens when you allow whatever the words are that are coming up,

That are associated with this emotion just to flow,

Just to be spoken,

Just to move through you?

Emotion,

Energy in motion,

How can you move that emotion now through your body?

This may mean that you stop sitting and start moving.

Use the voice and speak through.

What is the need that's not being met?

What is the word that's not being spoken?

What is the conversation that's not being had that's allowing this emotion to keep tapping on your experience?

Move and allow this emotion to move through you.

And continue to move,

Continue to allow the emotion to have life in your body,

In this safe space that you exist in right here,

Right now.

Allow this to move,

To be spoken,

To have volume.

Give yourself space to simply express and then begin to come back to your breath.

Begin to find that space within and to notice what happens when you allow yourself to be expressed,

When you allow emotion to be experienced,

When you allow it all to be okay.

Come back down into your breath,

Drop down into your heart and just begin to breathe in and out.

Create space for the breath.

And in your own way begin to meet the need that hasn't been met.

And begin to feel back in your body,

To feel how it feels to accept it all,

To move from a place of judgment and resistance and to invite in the experience of your emotions,

To use it as a resource to learn more about what's going on underneath the surface.

And to begin to empower yourself to understand yourself deeper so that you can express yourself in a way that is most authentic to you,

To give yourself permission to simply be in whatever the expression is that you are in that moment,

To create the space to feel,

To create the space to be,

To create the space to dive down underneath the emotional experience,

To nourish the need underneath.

Take a nice deep breath in and let that breath go,

Taking a moment to acknowledge yourself for creating this time to dive down into the direct experience of your most authentic self.
