This is an opportunity to explore the practice of presence in a way that feels effortless. How often can you simply catch yourself in the present moment? Can you be in the playful curiosity of the present moment as it creates a sacred pause in your day.

Just take a moment to settle yourself in,

Giving yourself some time to release the day,

Just putting aside whatever events,

Conversations,

Interactions have happened in this day.

Gift yourself this space to be here now.

When we begin to look at tuning into our breaths,

Moving into a practice of meditation or mindfulness,

We often look at bringing ourselves back to the present moment,

Catching ourselves when our mind wanders,

Thoughts come in,

And we're distracted and taken into the day that was or the days to come.

And this is an invitation just to explore how often you can catch yourself in the beauty of the present moment,

This week.

Wherever you sit or lie now,

Just become aware of the breath and your experience of the breath.

Just notice as it moves in and out of the body to begin to allow the body to follow the breath as it slows,

As it calms,

As it settles down and begins to ease into the evening,

Giving yourself the time and space to really set up for the week ahead.

And so before that week takes off,

Just bring your awareness to those moments where you catch yourself in the present moment.

You might be walking through your day and suddenly become aware of the warmth of the sun on your skin.

And even if just for a moment,

You allow yourself to really experience that warmth,

Allow it to slow you down,

You might catch yourself in the present moment.

If you have been daydreaming,

Allowing your mind to wander,

Then something brings you back to the here and now.

It might be someone's voice.

Just notice that jolt is an invitation to really be here now.

You might notice your mind wandering in a conversation,

Not really thinking about what the person in front of you is.

Who is saying.

And something is said that's really relevant,

Really important,

That wakes you up,

Brings you back into the conversation,

Gives you a sense of alertness,

Gives you a sense of purpose to be in this conversation,

Actively listening,

Taking it.

So as you walk through this week ahead,

One simple practice.

See how often you can catch yourself.

See if you can elongate that experience.

Notice what happens when you give yourself permission to be here now,

Giving yourself.

Where is it important to listen this week?

Where is it important to find joy in the smallest of experiences?

Where can you lose yourself in the beauty of your life?

What can you notice that you haven't seen before,

That you've missed because of distraction,

Because of busyness?

In and out of the body,

Being in an awareness,

Being in an awareness,

Bringing an awareness into the room that you sit right now.

The sounds and smells and tastes in this life right here.

Enjoy this exploration throughout your week.

Thank you,

As always.

Take a moment to honor yourself for creating this space in your day to honor and lead yourself first.
