Problem solving for stress reduction.
Six easy steps.
Thank you for taking the time to listen to this instruction and letting me support you.
The aim of this recording is to find good ways for stress reduction.
This can help you to cope better with stress in your everyday life.
Every problem has the potential for a solution within.
Step one.
Recognize the causes for stress.
This step is about a specific description of the situation that causes your stress.
The root of the problem.
Being sensible and consciously recognizing the situations helps you to solve the underlying problem.
The following questions help you to identify the situations that are stressful for you.
When does the problematic situation occur?
How does it affect you?
What are the reasons you feel stressed in certain situations?
Step two.
Collect ideas for solving the problem that causes the stress.
This section is about certain ideas to overcome stress.
The best way to collect ideas is associative.
By collecting the ideas that come into your mind in a brainstorm,
Write the ideas down on a sheet of paper.
This brainstorm is collecting all the options for the solution of your problem without any distinction in good or bad.
In that way you get an overview of all the options to take action to solve your problem,
No matter how absurd some solutions may be.
It is also a good idea to brainstorm with people who trust you like friends or family.
That allows you to get new ideas and perspectives on your topic you may not even have thought about.
Step three.
Find your own way.
The previous list of brainstorms is a preparation of finding your own way.
This means selecting the most promising and best of the many possible solutions from step two.
It is important to ask yourself what are the best options when solving the problem?
Or what is it that helps me most likely to regulate my stress?
The best three ideas are the ones that you pick and stick to.
Step four.
Plan certain steps.
In this step,
After choosing the best solution for your problem,
It is time to plan the certain steps to implement them.
For one goal,
There are small detailed steps that need your attention.
On the other hand,
This is about making a timeline and creating your own commitment.
So when do you want the sub steps to happen?
Which steps are necessary to reach your goal?
Step five.
In this section,
It is about acting upon the ideas you choose in everyday life.
After the previous steps,
Which had the purpose of planning,
The ideas and steps are now really implemented.
So this section is not about further reflection or consideration what to do.
This can actually hinder you more than it helps you.
Since the decision for the actual ideas you want to act upon already was made in advance.
This step is just about action in everyday life.
Step six.
Evaluate.
In this step,
You will look on your actual problem that caused you stress and evaluate whether it is still an issue.
Here you are going to decide whether the selected ideas and steps have been successful after all.
If your problem is solved now,
Wonderful.
You have been able to manage your stress in a self-determined way.
If your problem is not solved yet,
You might have left out certain steps or worked on the wrong idea.
But do not worry.
You can solve all the problems that caused your stress.
Trust me.
Just go back to your ideas from the brainstorm and see whether you have missed something or just had the wrong priorities.
Even if you have not solved your problem on the first run,
You gain knowledge and experience in dealing with the causes of your problem and also acting on it.
So keep it up.
You can do it.
So that were six steps for problem solving for less stress in your everyday life.
Thank you and enjoy the process of problem solving.
