Aloha.
This is a reflective meditation based on a traditional Hawaiian story shared with me by the late,
Beloved,
Kumu and friend,
Kumu Raelin Ha'alelai Kauai Ea.
To get into the state of mind,
Sit back,
Relax,
Breathe easy and follow along with an open mind.
It goes something like this.
Everything in nature and our bodies are infused with a life force.
Some call it unconditional love.
Shape and matter is temporary and keep changing,
But life continues on and always have been.
The ancestors who walked before us did so so we are able to be what we are today.
So who are you?
Where did you really come from?
Do you remember?
The story goes that we all came from a world of spiritual light and unconditional love.
Let's go there.
Imagine yourself floating weightless in a vast space of loving golden light.
You are surrounded by love,
Embraced by light and nourished by infinite bliss.
You yourself,
An energy of blissful light,
Suspended weightless in this endless safe space.
No worries or concerns,
No time or shadows of any past,
No walls or boundaries.
You are boundless,
Weightless,
Be in this moment of space with your whole imagination.
In this same space there is the source,
The infinite source of life,
Love and energy.
Like a spiritual loving sun radiating to light up this universe.
You feel the loving rays surrounding you,
Embracing you,
Warming up every corner of your being with unconditional love.
You feel fully charged,
Plugged in.
You are safe.
You are loved.
You are complete.
Then comes your time,
Your perfect time to get down into your body and to the world you live in now.
It is time to play your role and to remember your home of light and so that the source can find you.
You were given a bowl of light for you to care for within you.
This is your connection to the infinite source.
But as you walk along your life,
Events happen and your bowl is filled with stones.
Stones that block your light and makes you forget who you are and where you came from.
Stones of worries,
Sorries,
Sadness,
Resentments,
Judgements and anger.
You started to gradually feel drained and dull.
Heavy and cold at heart,
The source cannot find you when you forgot who you are.
Your task now is to remove these stones to restore the fullness and vibrance of your being.
Never mind how they ended up here.
It is not time to remove the stones in your bowl of light one by one.
Pick up each stone and ask yourself,
Where did this stone come from?
Is it really yours to keep?
Did you really need to accept this stone into your bowl?
Can you learn something from it?
Your true nature is brilliance.
Remove the stones to restore you.
You don't need the ill feelings and the resentments.
Find that love within you to let go.
This is the ongoing process of ho'oponopono.
Let your light shine again.
Let your bowl be free of stones.
Walk this earth in the fullness of your being.
Each one has the capacity to be love.
It is up to each one to discover what that is.
Be that light.
Be that love.
Be as you were meant to be,
Sharing love,
Allowing others to shine too.
Be that light.
Be that love.
Be you.
Be all that you are,
In your aloha.
Be all that you are,
In your aloha.
Be all that you are,
In your aloha.
