How you respond and process your triggers is the work we have to do today. Step One: know and accept that you are human and you might be triggered by someone or something at any moment in the day. It happens to all of us and I hope this meditation lends some relief from the "trigger recovery" you may experience. Namaste.

In today's meditation,

We focus on overcoming triggers.

We're going to practice this in three stages through affirmations.

The first is an I can statement,

Granting yourself permission to believe that the affirmation can be true for you.

Next,

We practice the affirmation in an I see statement,

Starting to visualize this affirmation coming true for you.

Finally,

We speak it into reality with the I am version of the affirmation.

There's time for breath in between each version so that you can absorb the affirmation deeply into your core.

Repeat these affirmations however you feel.

You can speak them out loud,

Say them silently to yourself,

Scream it if you feel it.

Let's get started.

Three deep breaths.

I can accept myself in every moment that I experience.

I see acceptance for myself in every moment that I experience.

I accept myself in every moment that I experience.

I can allow the difficulties to pass me by,

Regardless of the outcome.

I see myself allowing the difficulties to pass me by,

Regardless of the outcome.

I allow the difficulties to pass me by,

Regardless of the outcome.

I allow the difficulties to pass me by,

Regardless of the outcome.

I can handle each challenge with grace and self-confidence.

I can handle each challenge with grace and self-care.

I see myself handling each challenge with grace and self-care.

I am handling each challenge with grace and self-care.

I can become an unattached responder,

Allowing my reaction and not identifying with it.

I can become an unattached responder,

Allowing my reaction and not identifying with it.

I see myself as an unattached responder,

Allowing my reaction and not identifying with it.

I see myself as an unattached responder,

Allowing my reaction and not identifying with it.

I am an unattached responder.

I allow my reaction and do not identify with it.

I can look back at each trigger as an opportunity for growth.

I see myself looking back at each trigger as an opportunity for growth.

I can accept that I am human and my response is not wrong.

I see that I am human and my response is not wrong.

I can be free from self-judgment as soon as I make the decision.

Thank not taking to quickly. Sometimes during the guided affirmation meditations I find the individual talks too quickly for me to actually get the affirmation with feeling.

This is a very good process and easy to learn and use when triggers happen. It would be good to repeat until itโ€™s instilled in the brain anc heart to become an automatic response, yet not just a habit. Thank You ๐Ÿ™

Amazing practice for my point on my journey. I did not recognize that although I thought I had been making progress on letting things go to make room for new perspectives and attitudes, all that letting go was being undermined by my response to triggers surrounding those situations. I observed my heartbeat yesterday and today as I felt confident and ready to tackle the task I have been attempting, but noticed that my heart rate still went up and t wasn't anxiety being converted into excitement as I can usually do. I realized them that I still had some deeper work to do, and my body was telling me it wasn't quite caught up to where my mind and spirit had reached. I located this practice right away when I searched for something to assist, and it is now bookmarked and on my Playlists relating to various aspects of my present work. Downloading, too, so I can listen at work if need be. I particularly like the tiered affirmations - absolutely necessary to repeat these often for them to take firm root, but this practice is short enough and concise enough that I feel I could put it on repeat for a few spins for reinforcement at any time. Thank you so very much for sharing your insight and wisdom with us here. I see you and the light within you. Be well. ๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿปโค๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿป

I bookmarked this a week or so ago....and today when I SO needed it you provided great guidance and an effective way of dealing with a situation in which I felt really hurt that came unexpectedly and as a result I questioned myself a lot. Thank you so much for the way you presented this. It has helped "heaps" as they say here downunder. Will use this again. ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’กKia ora Aroha from NZ
