This idea came to me earlier this year to improve my delivery,

Improve my confidence in myself as I delivered.

And I started practicing this myself,

Really just talking to myself.

And it became one of my habits that just helped when I had a presentation to give,

Where I had a hard conversation to have.

I felt that I was kind of using that to my benefit.

And I said,

Oh,

I should share that.

So here we are.

So we'll go through a series of steps to kind of go in first.

So we'll breathe and drop,

Drop into this moment,

Drop into this practice.

And then we'll go through a few different steps of using your voice.

And I encourage you to repeat what I'm doing,

But also explore and play with that.

You're going to hear my version and that's my version today.

My voice needs a lot of empowerment today.

And it changes every day.

So what I'm feeling in my body,

It also kind of helps me embody the confidence as well.

So feeling it in my chest,

In my lungs,

In my legs,

It's more than just a voice,

Your mouth speaking,

Your throat producing sounds.

It's where's my voice really coming from in my body.

So going right in.

So first dropping into this moment and allowing the breath to sync up with the present moment.

So no rushing,

No forcing,

Breathing easy.

So we'll let go of our expectations for yourself in this practice.

Let go of what needs to change.

The perception of you and your voice.

Let that go.

Just be here in this breath.

With the body,

We'll open the breath deeper by rolling the shoulders.

Starting just by rolling the shoulders up towards the ears and then back,

Opening the chest,

Letting the shill down.

And rest.

Noticing the change in the breath.

And rolling again,

Shoulders up towards the ears,

Rolling them back and letting them rest down and notice the breath.

Engaging the arms along with the rolls.

So taking the arms out to the sides and rolling the arms big,

Open as we lift the shoulders.

And circling the arms a couple of times.

Rolling in after the next breath,

Releasing that,

Relaxing the arms down.

Notice how that changes the breath.

Starting to add sounds with the voice.

Rolling the arms again and if you want to roll forward,

In between,

Do what feels right.

But start to add a hum.

Strengthening the breath,

Making the breath louder.

Just giving some vocal cue.

And begin with the breath again.

And continue any movement that feels right,

Whether you're sitting or standing or lying down.

Stay in touch with the body,

Feeling the body contributing to your voice if it's easy.

When you're ready,

Introduce that hum.

So letting go of the tone,

The tune,

The quality,

Any judgment of the tone,

The sound that you're making.

And if my sounds are distracting,

You can turn the volume down a bit so you just hear the suggestions.

Making the breath easy and allowing whatever movement just happens,

Allow it to happen.

Feeling the vibration of the voice with your heart.

Feeling how it changes.

Every eyes open or closed.

So let it be easy.

This is your practice.

You're hearing my practice.

Yours might be completely different.

Finding a sound or tone that feels calming to you,

That feels like it's offering release,

Ease.

Maybe it's higher.

Maybe it changes.

Maybe it's quiet or loud.

But playing with that.

Feeling the power of this hum,

The power of your voice throughout the body.

Using whatever movement comes up.

Maybe this is providing an opening,

A grounding,

A rising hum.

Just be with that.

Feeling your voice within you and around your space.

Feeling it around your body,

Representing your power and your confidence in this safe space.

Showing yourself the freedom to express what needs to be expressed.

Being loud or soft.

And just pausing any of the doing.

Just be present.

Observe.

Working in with the body.

And let that go.

Breathing after me if it feels good.

Listening to your voice.

I am here.

Just let the breath open the body.

I am here.

I am here.

Keep repeating as much as you like.

Feeling the body.

Feeling your voice inside and around you,

Carrying your power.

Communicating your intention.

Feeling clear and easy.

And repeat again.

And start with my suggestion,

But take it where you need to go.

So allowing your message to shift as your heart invites it.

I am strong.

I am capable.

I am strong.

I allow myself to express.

Feeling your power in your words.

I am strong.

I am capable.

Feeling it in your body.

Feeling it echo off the walls in the sky.

I am here.

I am strong.

I am capable.

Feeling movements.

Allowing and listening to the heart,

Listening to the body.

I am strong.

Feeling the power rise and fall.

Allowing it just to be.

I am.

Feeling your own voice throughout the room,

Throughout the space,

All around.

Opening with the breath.

Allowing it to be.

Continue your affirmations wherever you've landed,

Whatever feels good.

If you're jumping up and down,

Screaming at the top of your lungs,

Go as long as you like.

If the power you're choosing to explore is beginning to recede,

Just allow it.

Take rest.

Just be with you and your voice.

A whisper can be as powerful as a scream if the message is true.

When it feels right,

Bringing your practice to a close.

Whatever way feels right to you.

Shaking it out.

Big stretches.

Breathing in your journal.

Placing a hand on the heart.

Connecting with the breath and the voice again.

Going back to a quiet sound.

Letting the rest,

The body and the voice rest.

This newfound power or reaffirmed power.

Rest with the awareness that's yours.

Every day when you want to tap into it.

Gently bringing movement back again.

Coming back to your day.

Coming back.

With gratitude for this body and this breath and this voice.

Namaste.
