This meditation will be guiding you on discovering how to release overwhelm in your life.
Find a comfortable seated position so you're easily able to do the interactive components of it.
I want you to take a deep breath filling your lungs from the bottom all the way up.
Be aware of any tension in your body and mindfully begin to release it.
Exhale through your mouth as we will begin to move energy in you in order for it to be released.
Continue to take deep breaths focusing on filling your lungs from the bottom all the way up to the top and letting go of any tension you may feel.
Now take your left hand and place it on the back of your neck.
Take your right hand and place it on your forehead running parallel to the ground.
Allow both hands to gently apply pressure to your neck and head until you feel a deeper sense of calm take over your body and mind.
Take a deep breath and imagine yourself as a column of energy rooting down into the ground.
So often we spend our time in our heads or feeling detached from our bodies that this simple practice can already start to remove the feeling of overwhelm that we are experiencing.
Continue to feel yourself rooting down while you take deep full breaths.
When you are ready you may put your hands back into your lap.
I want you to imagine that you are in a place that brings you peace and calm.
It can be a place you have been to before or somewhere you create in your mind.
Experience every detail of this calming space.
What does it look like?
What does it smell like?
How does your body feel in it?
Soak in the space until it feels like you are one with it.
Often you see a person in the distance walking towards you.
You cannot tell who they are yet but you feel a sense of connection to them.
As they get closer you notice that it is you however you seem different.
You seem like a lighter more relaxed version of yourself.
A glow of yellow and white light surrounds this version of you and you are filled with joy seeing yourself in this new way.
I want you to greet this version of yourself and invite them to sit down.
While sitting together you ask this new version of yourself how they came to be so full of light and peace.
When they are done you ask them what is one thing I can begin to do today to release the overwhelm in my life.
Listen as they share with you what you can do.
As they finish up giving you their answer thank them for guiding you on a healthier path.
See if they have anything else they want to tell you.
When you are ready give them a hug and notice that they merge into you solidifying the message they gave you.
You begin to feel the light that they were surrounded by fill every space of your body.
Take one big deep breath breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth releasing what is holding you back in this moment from taking a step closer to letting go of the overwhelm in your life.
Slowly wiggle your toes and move your fingers continue to take deep breaths and when you are ready open your eyes.
The messages you received are key tools to discovering how to feel the sense of calm and light in your life more often.

These are just as powerful messages as reading or hearing something said to you.
Take time now to journal out what you learned from your higher self and list out the key way you can start to remove overwhelm from your life today.
