Welcome to your heart activation meditation.

Take a moment and get comfortable.

Whether that is in a seat,

On a chair or cushion,

Or you are welcome to do this meditation lying down if that's more comfortable for you.

The first thing I want you to do once you've found your comfortable position is just settle.

Begin to relax into this space.

Just listen to my voice.

Listen to what I have to say.

And gently take your right hand and place it over your heart.

And as you do that,

Start taking some nice,

Deep breaths.

Not too slow,

Not too fast,

Just a nice natural rhythm.

Deep down into your belly.

Just so you can find a nice comfortable rhythm in and out.

And as you do that,

I want you to begin feeling every breath you take in.

Feel every breath go through your heart,

Down into your belly,

Swirl around and come back out through your heart.

Every breath in passes down through your heart space into your belly,

Swirls around and then every exhale it comes back up through your heart and out into the world.

And just continue this slow,

Natural breathing.

Every breath you take,

Feel it pass through your heart,

Go down,

And then back through your heart as it goes out.

And really physically feel this breath pass through that hand that's over your heart.

Feel it as it passes underneath there.

Notice that you can really physically feel that breath go through your chest through your heart and down.

And again,

On the exhale.

Just continue this pattern,

Noticing and just really being curious about this new sensation in your belly and in your chest.

Just continue that nice natural rhythm,

Feeling every breath in pass through your heart,

Feeling every breath out pass through your heart.

And continue this and just listen to my voice and the words that I'm saying.

With every breath you take,

You're going to continue to relax into your body.

Release any stress or tension that you may have been holding on to.

So that your muscles,

Your tendons,

Even your bones can just relax,

Surrender to the pull of gravity.

Let your shoulders melt down your back.

Let the muscles in your neck and in your face relax.

And with every breath out,

Just release more of that stress,

More of that tension.

Let them just disappear into the atmosphere and evaporate.

With every breath in,

You're breathing in more calm,

More love into your heart space.

With every breath out,

You're exhaling tension and stress from your heart space.

This is your heart activation meditation.

As you continue this breathing,

I want to explain what that means.

This meditation puts your heart and your brain in sync.

You may have seen those fancy little machines that they can hook up to your chest and measure the energy coming from your heart with those little blips on that paper.

And there is another machine similar where you can actually connect electrodes to your head and measure your brain waves as well.

They beep,

There's those little dots that go up and down.

And you can actually see the electrical impulses,

Both of your heart and of your brain.

And what you can do is actually sit and watch both of these on separate screens but next to each other.

And what happens when we are at that point of stress,

Of overwhelm,

Of anxiety or of tension is that those electrical impulses are completely erratic.

They're not together at all.

They look chaotic.

But this heart activation meditation,

When we settle and breathe into our heart and relax that stress,

What we begin to do is actually bring those pulses into unison into a rhythm together.

And this is actually proven that this happens.

So the beeping up and down,

As you calm,

As you become centered,

As you relax,

Those beeping of your heart waves and your brain waves come together.

They beat in the same rhythm.

And the beautiful thing is that often we find ourselves in our heads overthinking,

Over analyzing,

Stressed out,

Anxious.

And that is because our brains are built to see the world around us,

Find problems and create solutions.

But that also means that our brains are constantly on the lookout for stressors and easily transition into fear when we encounter anything new or anything that's bigger than normal.

And the beautiful thing about our heart is that that is where peace,

Love,

Acceptance,

Gratitude,

All of those beautiful things that calm that relaxation that all comes from our heart.

Our heart is not a survival mechanism.

Our heart is our center.

It is our core.

And when we can align our beautiful brains that are looking out for us and always want to keep us safe,

And our heart,

Where our peace and our love and our centering resides.

When we can get those two powerhouses working together and functioning as one.

It really truly is life changing.

So as you take this new information,

And you're still breathing down through your heart into your belly.

Just feel a warmth in your chest.

If your hand is still on your chest can feel that warmth under your hand if you've already released your hand that's perfectly all right.

Can just feel some warmth on your chest.

And really just imagine each breath,

Catching a little bit of that warmth circulating down through the belly and back out.

And that warmth might have a color.

Maybe it's pink,

Or it's red.

Perhaps just a pure white light,

Whatever feels most true to you.

And as we're activating our hearts that light becomes brighter.

And that heat is building.

And just notice that this heat in this beautiful light,

Which is peace and love comes from your heart down into your belly and back up.

And as you exhale,

It's passing right by your brain.

And the breath is what unites your brain,

Your mind,

And your heart center.

Now with this beautiful awareness,

Take a moment to think of two things that you are grateful for.

Without thinking,

Without analyzing,

Two things that you are grateful for.

And breathe those in down deep into your belly.

And recognize that there is so much to be grateful for in this life.

Now if your hand is still on your chest,

You are welcome to place it down on your lap,

Or wherever feels most comfortable.

And you're gently going to release this breathing and just come back to a perfectly normal,

Natural breath.

That heat and that beautiful light coming from your heart,

They are part of you.

They're absorbing into your being,

They don't go anywhere.

And as they absorb into your being,

They're absorbing as love,

As peace.

And they are going to help you continue without effort,

Without thought.

They are going to continue to help you operate in unison.

Keep your brain,

Your mind,

And your heart working as one.

Now when you're ready,

Come back into your body.

Feel the earth supporting you.

Lift the corners of your mouth in a slight smile.

And maybe you wiggle your fingers and toes,

And maybe you stretch your arms and stretch your legs.

Maybe give a big yawn.

And when you feel ready,

When you feel complete,

Open your eyes and have a beautiful day.
