A guided meditation (without any music) to slow down, breathe and tune into where you are experiencing grief, sadness or loneliness. Grief is part of living a full life because it is always present where there is change. Whether the change was unexpected, expected, welcome or not - together we will practice extending loving compassion to the parts of you that are grieving. Thank you for being here.

Hi,

Friends.

Thank you for being here.

I believe that meditation is simply a time to tune in.

So there is no one right posture for that.

That means that for some people,

There's the most ease in their body if they're running or walking or doing the dishes or painting or sitting in a formal position or lying down.

Anything that works for you is what is right for you.

So you're invited to settle in to whatever you'd like to be doing while we explore some self-compassion and just start to feel how the earth supports you wherever you are,

Whatever part of you is connected to earth,

The soles of the feet or your sit bones,

If you'd like to place your hands on the ground,

If you're lying down,

Whatever part of earth is holding you up,

Just breathe.

And we'll take a couple of deep breaths together,

Exhaling everything now.

And breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

One more,

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Beautiful.

Breathe in whatever way feels easy to you.

So we explore compassion where kindness meets suffering.

We put ourselves through so much and can judge ourselves so harshly as we go through the process as life unfolds.

And just tuning in now to whether there's any tension in the body,

Whether a certain memory comes up,

Anything that feels dense or heavy or has some pain attached to it,

Some suffering,

Maybe some judgment or critique.

And just tuning in,

And can we say,

I see how hard this is.

Just the acknowledgement.

I see that you're suffering.

I see that you feel scared or lonely or uncertain.

I see that this hurts.

I see that.

Continuing to breathe.

I can see that you're suffering.

I know how hard this is.

And it's okay.

I'm here and I'm not going to turn away.

It's okay.

I can see that you're scared and I'm here.

I can see that you're lonely.

I'm here.

I can see that you're uncertain.

I know how hard this is.

I'm here.

I can see that you're grieving.

I know how much that hurts.

I'm here.

No matter what you have done or thought or felt,

You are loved always.

There is always love here for you.

You were doing the best that you could.

With the knowledge that you had,

With the experiences that you've had,

With the resources and support that are available to you.

You did the best that you could.

And you are loved exactly as you are right now.

You don't have to earn anything.

You are worthy of love right now.

I see that you're scared.

I see that things are uncertain.

I see that there is self-doubt.

I see that there is loneliness.

And I won't turn away or push you away or abandon you in this moment.

I'm here and I love you.

I'm here and I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

I am here to make it a little easier.

I love you so much.

Just continuing to breathe and holding whatever comes up.

I'd like to place a hand on the heart if that feels right to you.

We'll wrap up our time here together just for now.

Breathe into your hand,

Breathe into your heart.

You are always supported and loved.

You can whisper to yourself,

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

And one final breath together,

Breathing in.

Breathing out,

I love you.

Beautiful.

Thank you for being here.

May you feel loved and supported through the rest of your day.
