I'm so glad you're here.
This meditation is intended to give your nervous system some restorative rest so that you can not only feel relaxed,
But your whole system can go into self-healing.
So part of the invitation for this meditation is to really listen to how your body wants to be supported for rest and relaxation.
So where do you want to set up?
Would you like to be in bed,
On the couch,
Lying on the ground,
Out in a hammock?
Do you need extra pillows,
Pillows under the knees,
Under the arms,
Under the head?
Really give yourself this moment in time to tune into the body and ask,
Where would I feel most relaxed?
How can I give my body whatever support it needs to relax?
Feel free to pause this meditation to go set yourself up.
I'll be here when you're ready.
Beautiful.
So start to ease into whatever space you've chosen.
If you need to stretch the body a little bit before it's able to relax,
Go ahead and do that.
If you want to choose to have your eyes closed or choose a soft gaze off the tip of your nose,
Do whatever feels good to you.
Just for these next 30 minutes,
You don't need to solve anything,
Be anywhere,
Do anything,
Help anybody else.
This is a time for you to rest and restore and to give your body the chance to self-heal.
So taking some deep breaths,
Getting whatever fidgets out.
And if the body's holding on anywhere,
Now's the time to let go.
Really melting into the position that you're in,
Feeling how the earth is supporting you,
Loving you,
Nurturing you,
Holding you up.
And we're going to invite the nervous system to relax with us.
So we're going to do that with the breath.
It'll be longer exhales than inhales,
But you can follow my lead,
Exhaling everything now and inhale and exhale.
Good.
And inhale and exhale,
Inhale and exhale.
Beautiful.
Breathing at your own pace and rhythm now and really coming back to the breath whenever the mind wants to get activated,
Which is totally normal,
But just coming back to the breath or putting the hands on the body,
Coming back to the body.
If this mantra is supportive,
You can think,
Breathe in,
I'm breathing in,
Breathe out,
I am breathing out.
So you're invited to imagine being in your own private,
Beautiful space in nature.
However that looks to you,
Whether you want to be leaning against a big,
Gorgeous tree,
You're lying in a field of wildflowers next to a brook,
Just tuning in to this visualization of being in your own private,
Beautiful,
Safe space in nature.
What animals might be there for you,
Tuning into again,
How the earth is holding you up from below.
And we're going to invite the warm,
Glowing energy of the sun to relax your whole body from above.
So we'll start at the top of the head on the forehead,
Feeling that swirling,
Beautiful energy and developing your whole head over the eyes,
Relaxing that jaw.
Take a deep breath,
Relax.
Let this beautiful,
Warm,
Vibrant,
Swirling energy moving down the neck over those shoulders,
All the way down the arms,
Over the hands,
And then over that heart space,
Really beaming down on the heart,
Giving so much loving healing energy and then moving down the front of the body,
Over the belly,
Relaxing and healing as it goes over the hips,
Really beautiful beaming sun energy down over the legs,
Over the knees,
Down the front of the legs,
To the ankles,
Swirling around the feet.
So you have this really beautiful,
Sturdy,
Grounding earth energy below you,
Holding you up,
And this beautiful,
Vibrant,
Healing,
Warm,
Glowing energy raining down on you from above,
From the sun.
So you're invited to just breathe and take this in.
