Today I'd like to make some considerations about the importance of living in the present moment.
What is in some way linked to the present moment is the past and the future.
Let's talk about the past.
All that you call your past exists only as memory.
Do you see this?
All the life events that have shaped you,
All the work you have ever done,
All the vacations you have been on,
All the conversations or arguments you have had,
All the relationships you have created,
Everything you have read or seen,
All this exists only in your memory.
What about the future?
All that you call future exists only as imagination.
All that you long for or dream,
Your next appointment,
Your perfect partner,
Your promotion,
Your own family,
Your perfect job,
Some terrible illnesses you could contract,
Some horrific destiny that could befall the one you love,
All this exists only in your imagination.
As a consequence,
What you are suffering right now is your memory and your imagination,
Nothing more.
It is important to realize that both exist only in your mind.
They have nothing to do with the existential reality.
Try to stop for a moment and simply ask yourself,
When I am not lost in the mental constructs of memory and imagination,
Where am I?
The only answer to this question can be in the present.
The present is a reality.
You don't have to try or to pretend to be in the moment.
You are in the moment.
There is nowhere else to be.
It is just that you are not available to it and you are always trying to escape it.
Everything you need to do is to accept it.
It means aligning yourself with the way things are,
Not the way you think they should be.
It means accepting the reality just as it is.
It means stopping to struggle.
Once you have accepted this,
You see that this moment is inevitable.
This is a profound realization.
If you are conscious,
There is only one place in which you can be.
Now.
In order to maintain this state of mind,
Try to stay with moment to moment awareness.
The moment you are aware,
You are in the present.
Wherever you go or whatever you do,
You can only be in this moment.
Are you already wondering about the next moment?
It is a million possibilities.
But if you think about your future creating images based on your past experiences,
This could be highly delusional.
Let those million possibilities reveal in their own perfect state.
Still,
There is nothing wrong with using your memory and imagination.
They are essential for our life.
We learn from our history.
And it is alright to have a plan for our future.
But there is a difference between using the mind and being used by it.
Are you able to be aware?
What exactly is awareness?
Awareness is not something you do.
It is not an action.
It is a state of being.
It is the way you are.
All it takes is the willingness to experience everything the way it is.
Bring your physical,
Mental and energy bodies into alignment so that you can create room for awareness to blossom.
If you speak,
Feel and act differently,
You cannot be aligned.
Being in awareness for just a few minutes will enable you to see an immediate difference.
As your acceptance of the present moment deepens,
You move into higher levels of freedom.
Acceptance is freedom from the blame game,
From the drama of othering,
Freedom from the dance of duality.
There is only you in this moment and no one else.
Be aware,
Be present and feel the difference.
