Hello my friend,

Let's start by just settling in together,

Just breathing,

Starting to turn your attention inward,

Noticing your breath,

Coming into stillness,

Just noticing the mind.

You can even say out loud or in your head,

I'm not engaging with thoughts right now,

I'm noticing my breath,

I'm noticing my body making contact with whatever I'm sitting on,

Coming into presence,

Just being,

Nothing to do.

So you're just allowing yourself to be open to this message,

To receive it,

Calming yourself,

Calming your mind,

Coming into just a peaceful and receptive state.

So see if you can just breathe into that for a few rounds.

So we're making this more intentional,

We're setting the stage for you to really connect to what you're about to hear,

For it to land,

Making it a little more meaningful,

A little more sacred.

The belief that I'm about to share has brought me a lot of comfort,

And my hope is that it might bring you comfort as well.

And before I share it,

I want to give a little reminder.

It's important to understand that our beliefs and our faith don't require any proof of being correct or right in order for them to be effective.

A belief only requires your willingness to subscribe to it,

And your belief in it is actually the only thing that will make it real for you.

So what I have come to hold as true for myself is this.

I am a soul in a physical body,

And as a soul,

I believe I came here to have a rich,

Full experience of life,

One filled to the brim with both pleasure and pain,

Beauty and sorrow,

And no human escapes any of this.

So when we hold this truth,

Pain then becomes less awful,

And pleasures become less fleeting,

Because we start to see them for what they really are,

Just a part of the natural course of a life lived on earth.

I know that we will all experience profound grief during our time here.

It cannot be avoided,

And it's something to accept and to feel in its entirety.

I believe our only true purpose,

The only thing we really have to do while we're here,

Is to love and to learn.

What can great losses teach you?

How might they shape you if you allow them to?

And the same is true of great loves.

How will they change you,

Soften you,

And expand you when you fully let them in?

Because there's nothing to hide from here.

There's nothing to avoid or escape,

And there's also nothing to cling to.

I'll remind you that you have not failed,

And you have not gotten it wrong.

You've not lost anything,

And there's nothing you need to find.

You are whole.

Your spirit is whole.

Your soul is whole.

You are complete.

And that's how it's always been,

And how it always will be.

From this vantage point that I offer,

I ask you,

Can you feel how this perspective might soften the constant tension that you carry,

Even just a little?

Can you exhale more deeply?

Can you loosen your grip on those unreasonable expectations that you place upon yourself?

Can you begin to see life as this wondrous,

Indescribable gift?

If you feel even a glimmer of hope,

Follow it.

Allow it to show you what might be possible.

I share this perspective only in the hope that it opens something in your heart and allows you to breathe a little easier.

Life contains enough suffering already.

Perhaps this can lighten the weight that you've been carrying.

Perhaps life can feel less like a sentence and more like a great mystery,

But not something to be solved.

Something to live and revel in.

Something to approach with curiosity and a bit more levity.

Maybe you begin by asking,

What could I let go of today?

Just one thing.

Just for today.

What small grace could you offer yourself right now?

And then maybe from there,

You move forward.

If this resonates with you,

Trust that it will show you what is meant to open within you.

You will lead yourself there.

That part is inevitable.

You just have to keep following what feels right,

Even if it's just a small sliver of something inside of you.

These are my beliefs,

And they have brought me great relief.

They support me when life feels really heavy.

And isn't that what our faith and beliefs are meant to do?

So I'll leave you with this question.

What do you want your belief to be?

What do you want to subscribe to?

What would feel helpful?

You get to decide.

You get to choose and make it for yourself.

And then make it true by believing it.

All right,

My friend.

Thank you for listening.

Namaste.
